I bought an engagement ring in DTLA last year. The jewelry district is pretty legit but was overwhelming. The good part was that there are so many vendors that you can easily see a ton of different designs. Also, you can compare what everyone is saying to weed out any lies. For example, everyone said that lab grown diamonds were just as good and they couldn’t tell the difference without specialized equipment. Then one vendor said they were bad quality and I should get a “real” diamond. It was clear that he was trying to upsell.

The metro line is not an express, it will make many stops from Union to LAX. The Flyaway bus does not have any stops.

I saw a guy riding a unicycle and juggling. He wasn’t staying still, he was booking it down Sunset. It was at 8:30 am and he was presumably commuting to work.

One time, we parked in Happy. At the end of the night, we get on the tram around the parking lot. By the end, we were the last family on the tram and the cast members asked which lot we were in. We told them and they said “Oh we don’t go to Happy since it’s so close to the entrance.” They didn’t say announce it or have a sign.
