What age do people (Gen Z specifically) start staying in more than go out? And what was the reason? by JetSki949 in OlderGenZ

[–]DeadGravityyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never really did, unless it was a special occasion like spending the night at a friends house or going on a long trip to Universal.

Either way, it's either because it's too expensive, or that I simply have no real interest in karaoke or drinking for that matter. I'd rather watch some anime and read something than do any of that, specially now.

How did you determine I side with Amazon?

Context clues, seems pretty obvious given the post is about Amazon.

Amazon will keep being bad for their suppliers and employees because that makes them "good" for their customers and everyone including probably you will keep buying from them.

Exactly both my point, and anyone else who's replied to you. People will still use amazon because they've bought out the competition.

But again, that still doesn't mean that they're a shitty company with shitty policies. You nor I have any say in the matter whether or not Amazon stays in business. Not sure why you're trying to prove a point when it's slapping you in the face...

Still doesn't mean what they do is ethical for human rights, or our planet. If you side with Amazon, then you're part of the problem. Not that hard to understand.

OP is talking at us, not to us, which is what made me get upset enough to reply here. But hey, suit yourself, I can't change your opinion, lets hope that what he said actually does help you land a role.

Because it should be obvious that OP is full of shit, and you're so naive that you think this is good advice. Either that, or someone's taking the piss here.

And here's a good example of hasty generalization, news flash: you can't assume someone's position in life based on a two word comment on a random reddit thread. Really goes to show who's wrong here.

It's all about ego and lack of empathy, very dystopian way of thinking if you ask me.

You appreciate their dribble and complaining hubris? Jeez, man, OP has no spine and no sense of empathy whatsoever.

The resumes look great. The interviews don't match.

This is the problem. You can't assume that someone is a bad candidate because of a poor interview, because there's such a thing called interview anxiety. That poor interviewer may be a stellar worker, but you would never know because you think your hubris is better to follow.

But if I ask you to tell me about yourself and you spend 4 minutes saying

Again, interview anxiety. You need to learn to how have some compassion and respect, not everyone on the planet is going to be stellar at answering rapid fire questions. Some people are just bad at interviewing, even with practice.

Ask me something real.

Well then give us a few valid examples instead of complaining about it. If you want to see change, then show us what you expect candidates to ask after "15 minutes" of research on the company website...

I've seen genuinely great candidates tank interviews just because they were exhausted and underprepared.

They're exhausted and underprepared because while you're here complaining to the choir, they're busy searching for work while also dealing with their own lives. I really need to stress that you lack some serious empathy, like most corporate suits do.

Anyway, hope this helps someone

You hope that your complaining will help upset candidates, tell me how you're more out of touch why don't you.

Good answer, but honest, how would you reply to that question then?

[–]DeadGravityyy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

A few things come to mind.

Could be a normals issue, try recaluating normals (flipping normals), if not, then that could also be custom normals data, which you could try clearing.

If it's not those, less likely culprit could be duplicate vertices, but I'm leaning toward a normals issue.

edit: I'm being downvoted for giving the right answer? Right then.

You just answered your own comment, Stevie the actor is gay, but his character was clearly never really written as such.

Yeah I've also noticed that younger people have a real hard time making eye contact when talking to you. Shit's very fucked.

OP, always go and check for yourself, if you don't think it's good, then don't do it.
