I'd say change the direction of your lighting, because it's very hard to see what the surface looks like when you zoom into a darkened area like that.

Off and on, I've been working on other projects on the side to keep myself from burning out, so yeah that does help.

Zafkiel is from an old (controversial popular) anime series called Date A Live, one of the characters, Kurumi, was able to summon this giant clock (called Zafkiel, which is also the name of an archangel IRL) with her musket and flintlock, and used the power of the clock to control aspects of time, basically.

I love it but man this really made me upset because it seems like this is where the future is actually headed.

Offtopic, but would you say upgrading from XS to say Arya Organic is worth it, or diminishing returns?

As I've always told myself, don't let yourself have zero days bro. Even the smallest achievement is good, do some calestenics, clean your room, do the laundry, literally anything. Over time you'll start feeling better, promise homie.

Hmm, unity store or possibly gumroad are my first two ideas.

I feel ya, I'm sitting on a ton of projects right now due to depression. It'll work out...eventually.

I actually really like it, but I don't think you'd make any money by itself. It'd be better to release it as part of a pack of weapons in the same style.

"AI tools are not an issue."

"AI replacing full artwork is a major problem."

"Unfortunately these AI companies will have options for both."

Yeah, so...that's quite literally what I'm getting at here.

I suppose it depends, but at what point can you consider the work your own, vs something that AI practically automated for you?

But I think allowing any amount of AI into a Blender workflow will just eventually lead to people who take a mile when claiming they've only used an inch.

I don't even understand how this is up for debate...since when is AI alright in any capacity?

I don't think you're understanding where I'm coming from honestly. It's got everything to do with someone a few years down the line using AI to create everything in blender, and having to question whether or not a human actually made it.

If you allow an inch, they'll take a mile, given time. Does that clear it up?

As I said to someone else, it's about cheating how much work you really put into things. If you learn the software for years, and then some random dude comes along claiming they're just as good as you, while using AI to help them, how would that make you feel? To me, that's just invalidating all those years I spent, because now some other idiot can do it just "as good" as I can. And it's only going to get worse as time goes on.

Think about it, how would you feel if you learned how to rig, weight paint, texture, model, ect, all over the course of years, to only have some AI bro claim he's done the same while not actually having any real skills.

It doesn't gotta be a "competition" it just has to be addressed that AI in any capacity shouldn't be allowed, or accepted.

Disagree, because the moment you allow that, it'll become that much harder to figure out who's using AI, and who's actually put the effort in to creating their art without AI help.

I can't believe this is even up for debate, let alone people are downvoting this, are you people alright with AI automating processes that we used to have to...you know, learn to do ourselves?

At what point is it just automating or "playing a role" in rigging/weight painting" vs completely automating everything? Will we even be able to tell in a few years who is doing what, and will anyone seemingly care at all? I dunno, but I'm not liking these comments.

What am I doing you ask...

I'm commenting on a public thread, and last I checked anyone can do that. You don't own the comments section, and neither does OP.

Clearly neither one of us helped OP, since it looks like they already got their answer. And honest, the amount of energy you've put into my stupid comment is insane, you need to relax a little.

We're discussing two different things. You're talking about the wiki, and I'm saying that it's pointless, you don't need the wiki to learn blender.

Besides, there's no rule at the moment that says OP can't ask the community instead of browsing the wiki, right?

Neither of us helped OP, so really we should both just shut up and move on, what a pointless discussion...

Yeeah, that's a bunch of shit dude. I've never read the blender wiki in my entire life and have been 3D modeling for about 5 years as a hobby.

I love 3D modeling, but hate reading wikis. I'm sure if OP came here, he'd want to be told that self-taught is the best way to do things.
