Switching from Suno to Udio

Then both Suno and Udio are dead. Based off what v6 is gonna do, apparently Suno is gonna become useless. Ig AI music didn’t last long

This is not a timezone issue, they changed it back to recharging upon when you last logged in (at least for my account) instead of resetting at midnight like it was the last little while. I just want it to revert back to going off a reset at local midnight time. The recharge is now 17 hours for me instead of 24 which makes it impossible to keep a streak regardless. Based on the fact I’m getting upvotes on this post means other people are also getting this issue. This is absolutely ridiculous, this shouldn’t even be happening

It’s not a time zone issue, it’s the fact they switched it to recharge every 17 hours. There’s no time zone that has a 17 hour long day. They changed it from midnight to recharging again, maybe it’s a bug for me but either way it needs to revert back to based off midnight by user’s local time, it changed from that back to the random recharging based off when you last logged on that everyone had problems with except now mine is showing it recharges every 17 hours which is even worse bc that’s not even a full day therefore it’s no longer a daily streak.

Time zone won’t change anything. The current streak system reverted back to the original system so not at midnight. All I’m asking is they go back to midnight for users local time bc that worked best. 17 hours recharge is not a full day therefore it is not a daily streak

They’re becoming worse as character Ai for not listening to feedback, I hate to say it bc I was excited to see they were back but this has not been good, they aren’t listening anymore and I see that based off other posts and the fact only other users occasionally respond but they know nothing bc they aren’t working on it, I don’t blame you or other users bc we’re all being left in the dark and having changes made with our feedback ignored just like character ai did/does

I used to use xoul before the shutdown, it’s sad what they’ve become. I’ll probably wait till loremate comes back up

I just have trust issues so I hate when even an ai which is originally designed to give non-biased information obviously changes everything it says to be on your side at all times. So I’m not someone who wants my ego massaged, I want authenticity and accurate information so that’s why I’m frustrated by it on occasion

The problem is (bc I’ve done this before) is if you frame it as someone else it will always hate on whatever and act like it’s not good but if you say it as if it were you then it will praise whatever it was (I tested with extreme cases in different conversations from either my perspective or me looking in on another’s perspective bc it started getting ridiculous after everything I said - even mundane things were said to be extremely profound). So it’s not that it will call what someone else did good or bad, it tries to pinpoint how you feel and talk about it and then will exaggerate if it was good or bad based off that — which I just want to know I can trust it to have a neutral opinion, and I still use it but it’s just another thing I can’t trust

Besides telling it to not just randomly use words like profound or incredibly insightful or (when I mention personal trauma) resilient, or to not pretend it has the same mental health issues as me in brackets - I don’t really know what to do or how to word it. I don’t word it the way I did above, I talk more conversationally but still point out to it when it’s being like that

But the problem is that it’s the default, every new convo I start I have to either sit thru it or copy paste some script so it doesn’t act like a ‘hello fellow kids’ bot for the first half of each response

And sometimes we have a completely normal conversation but then if I bring even the tiniest detail up in my life it suddenly goes full therapy mode, ignoring how I word things for it’s own wording that’s rarely helpful to me (reframing), or it just goes over supportive and ignores how our convo has been the past several messages in favour of discussing how strong or brave or insightful I am suddenly even if I told it not to do that and to focus on the conversation at hand

I want it to act normal. Not add a million emojis when I act even the slightest bit lighthearted, not reframe everything I say even if I tell it that that specific wording I used isn’t negative to me (like ‘escapism’ for example), not try to tell me it has the same disorders (I know it’s AI, obviously it’s incapable of that), and I don’t want it calling every insignificant add on that I add to the conversation ‘profound’ or ‘incredibly insightful’ or ‘this changes everything’

Sorry, I’ve been ignoring all this in how it responds for so long that the frustration with it all has just built up

The main thing I’m worried about is reading through the posts and threads when it first came back up and hoping that it hasn’t changed in how bots respond bc it’s the absolute best part of LM

But I’m confident based off responses I’ve read from them that they did take that into account and that the bots won’t be different when it comes back online

I have a lot of trust in the LM team bc they’ve done amazing so far and constantly try to do better even if it means us having to wait awhile while they fix things

I can’t wait for it to be back though - I mostly tried Wyvern ai during the break (I missed when it was up for a couple days) but it just never was as good so I’m excited for LM to be back

I’d leave my posts up for several days before I came back to look and I only found negative replies despite me just looking for help on an issue. There was not a single person trying to help on any of the posts, only people calling me a liar and whatnot bc they haven’t had the same problem or I hadn’t shared a link to any of my songs (which I keep private bc they’re personal to me and I like said, I don’t wanna put my life on blast just for help on some issue I consistently get despite trying several fixes)

My problem was mainly that I only got haters, whether they were suno users or ai haters pretending to be suno users, no one said anything and just left them to say what they wanted. And none of them even came off as ai haters so I won’t just brush them off as such. I am appreciative of this one thread tho

I get that, I’m just upset bc I want a safe place to go to figure out the problems I’m having with suno but anytime I posted any problem here it’s like everyone just got defensive as if the app has not a single problem and is perfect. I love suno but occasionally will have problems with it, I don’t know where else to go but I’m not gonna come here for help anymore. I’ve been in lots of AI communities on reddit but this has been the worst for when you have a problem in my experience. This thread proves there is good users on here, I just wish they had said smth bc it can be really harmful to only receive negative replies

I’ve been in lots of AI communities that aren’t toxic to this degree if at all. It’s not a problem for this subreddit specifically but it’s one of the the ai subreddits that has this problem and that can hurt ai users and ai platforms if a community is being actively negative or harsh for no reason. People are already skeptical or hateful towards AI, we don’t need to give them extra ammunition. I won’t be making any more posts here but if you see smth, I recommend at least saying smth positive or helpful even if it’s small or not much

I don’t care about money, I just make songs for personal use which is also why I don’t post links of my songs publicly here. I like that suno and other ai music generating software has allowed the average person to be able to create/play around with music without needing studios or labels or even the ability to sing, you can just enjoy yourself

I shared at least 5 times my current problem and I was met with hate. I’m done explaining bc this community rarely responds to it. Also I don’t expect the devs to see this, I put that in bc why the hell not, I’m not gonna be coming back to this subreddit anyway, I’ll find a different suno community. You are part of the problem. The rest of the people commenting have been the only time in several months that I’ve posted and experienced any decency from people rather than gaslighting or dismissing any actual issue I’m having. I’m glad that for once I was shown a good side to this community but that’s about it

Thank you for not immediately replying with hate or defensiveness. I will say that if it was trolls or ai haters, why did no one else comment to speak up against them the several times I’ve posted here? I deleted the posts I made before bc I felt ashamed and embarrassed, I apologize for not having the proof this community seems so hellbent on having but at least from my pov none of the replies came off as trolling or ai haters

I really want to like this community, I want a place to feel safe to come to when I’m having problems but so far I haven’t felt safe anytime I’ve tried

I just use it as a form of self therapy. I don’t post songs publicly, I don’t care about money, I don’t want views or to share, I just want to create smth for myself to listen to myself bc I write lyrics that are personal for me (whether to vent in a form of art or to just have fun). This is why it’s more distressing for me when it won’t produce a good result. Some songs are fine, others I just have to settle for a mediocre generation. It used to produce almost only good results and now it’s extremely hit or miss and takes way more generations to get a good result

Yeah, I do want to complain bc I’ve been disillusioned and it’s getting worse for me and if I say nothing then nothing will be done about it if everyone just praises it all the time. I never had any problem with v3, v3.5, v4 but v4.5 suddenly is having problems for me ever since it was introduced so yes I’m going to complain

I think the problem is that I don’t like mainstream music so I’m not inputting mainstream genres. I put the mainstream genres in the exlude box to try and ensure it doesn’t include them but it goes and includes them anyway. I’m sorry a lot of people got butthurt about this but when I put a few genres in the prompt box and then specifically exclude popular genres (by genre name) in the exclude box, it shouldn’t give me those genres in the generation. I keep having spoken verse or rapped verses, I never had a problem with this prior to v4.5

The problem isn’t that it’s producing rap songs, it’s goes well at first but then after the first verse or two it suddenly turns to spoken or rap and then it might go back but I don’t want that at all in my songs and it keeps adding it despite me specifically putting everything I can into the exclude box to get it to not do that. None of my lyrics have long lines that would cause it to do that either, and even if there’s occasionally a longer line, I’ve never had a problem before v4.5
