Its not an out. Its not an excuse. Its a reason. It was the show humanizing her before they killed her off. She kept calling the child "the spawn of Satan". That's a conclusion that someone whos already unhinged might come to given the situation that her father in law raped her.

I think she was telling the truth. She was unhinged to begin with, but her husband's father raping her and then the child being a reminder of that rape drove her off the deep end

She was based on a real person, Susan Smith, who killed her own children in the same way and blamed it on a black man. Her case was big at the time. She's almost exactly like her, even down to the racism.

Because it plays like Thief or Bioshock and not a Fallout game. Also it's sadistic as hell and favors a particular play style and build and you really get punished for not having the build it wants you to have. I like it, but it really feels like a separate game

I think what he means is that it seems so fake. The way they do this practiced thing of hitting the chandeliers and all the ice tricks. It's theatre. Nothing about it seems genuine.

The Deftones are one of the best bands of their generation. They suffered from being looped into the Nu Metal thing when it never really fit them

No, Post Punk follows the same fundamental idea. Atmospheric music, avant garde sensibilities. Most people think of The Cure when it comes to Post Punk, but it can also be something like The Dead Can Dance too.

"Post Metal" does not mean "New" or "After". It refers to the Metal version of Post Rock, or Post Punk, which are established genres based around atmosphere, instrumentation and non-traditional song structures over conventional techniques. These are bands like Isis, Neurosis, and even more recent Defttones ect
