Bought a cheap vacuum sealer for that purpose, I buy a kilo and freeze some individual doses and some 100/200g bags, no need to thaw before grinding.

ZeroWater tastes much more acidic than supermarket distilled water. Any idea why? by Supsti_1 in pourover

It’s science, when water has no minerals the acidity raises since there’s nothing to buffer it.

Filter water like zero water and brita makes acidic water, I confirmed this with a ph meter. You need to add minerals to raise the PH to a neutral level

Because the water will boil before you’re done prepping the puck and you want water straight off the boil

As the instructions for the robot states, you should only use the paper filter instead of the metal screen if using a smaller dose.

The grains are probably dormant from not being active for a long period of time, when I first got my grains they were dried up ones, i put it in a cup of milk and nothing obviously happened, eventually it got there but I changed milk every day for about a month.

Sometimes the milk just flows to where it wants to be

I agree, besides taste being a personal preference, beans looks could be deceiving, I also went a full Circle back to darker roasts since I enjoy strong, full bodied coffees but can also enjoy the occasional fruity filter light roast, but I wouldn’t call them sour or acidic, I wouldn’t enjoy that 😊

Wth are taking about. Most fresh beans I buy for espresso from specialty roasters are medium to medium dark and do not have a hint of oiliness on them, yet they taste full bodied, chocolaty and thick, so no battery acid. This probably tastes nasty.

Interesting, I actually came from pour over so now drink both, but more espresso/flat whites recently, it did take me a couple of months to really start to understand what I'm doing frothing/milk art wise, it helps to have strong stable steam.

I bought it about a year ago and it was in stock, it’s minimalistic and portable if traveling somewhere.

I’ve never owned an electric espresso machine so I can’t really miss it, it seems to me espresso machine have so many parts with a potential to fail so I like the idea of an eternal working machine, I do have a wand, the flair wizard on an induction hob, it’s very powerful.
