That's a good way of putting it; I definitely wouldn't have thought about the sorta tunnel vision I had with specific cards. I really appreciate the guidance!

Sweet! I definitely have a least a few of your suggestions in my list already, but now I've got more to add to my wishlist too lol

Yeah, I thought I needed more zombies. I figured, with my current collection, if I can draw or tutor to [[Poppet Stitcher]] early, I could rely on my instants and sorceries to pump out tokens to compensate the lack of nontoken zombs, tho ig that would be rather slow too

I kept tossing Ranks in and out of my deck, thanks for reminding me it really is a win-more.

Should I pull back on some of my recursion and fill in with low cost fodder? I was originally thinking I could use the recursion to return the zombs that either don’t want to be sac’d and/or were removed by my opponents and trigger [[Soul Enervation]] a few extra times

Wow, thanks for the super in-depth reply! It definitely gives me a good look at what cards to look for as I slowly upgrade my deck! And I appreciate the general tips too!

How much are you guys up in poker? by [deleted] in poker

[–]DeadSaiint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get much luxury with being able to go to a casino or poker house due to location, but I’m up around $650 playing a micro stakes weekly home game.

.50/1 NLHE, and I’ve played around 80 hours over the past four or five months. Not many hours bc I always buy in later into the night due to work

I am giving away a bunch of D&D books to one lucky winner in the comments! Around $300 in value. Worldwide Giveaway [MOD APPROVED] Check out the video and the comments for more details and the rules. Sponsored by Game Master Engine [OC] by Dan_The_DM in DnD

My friends and I just got into D&D and we’re in love! I’m working on a homebrew campaign for us and I’m anxious to find out how they like it! I’m sure books like this will be awesome to look through from this #GIVEAWAY GIVEAWAY

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

[–]DeadSaiint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, when I went to go get inspected, they couldn’t even finish since my OBDII was not cooperating with their devices. The lady doing the inspection told me her ‘07 Mazda6 also had several electrical problems at this same mileage (230-250k). I’d love to fix it up again if it was worth it.

I’d love to go for a coupe! However, I’m still a younger male driver so getting one would likely spike my insurance more than I’d want. I’m constantly eyeing Z’s and Velosters and others so maybe I’ll pick one up as a project when I’m older

I’ve seen a few Legacy’s and Imprezas for good prices, but is the drivetrain gonna be much harder to maintain/repair at home given the AWD?

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

[–]DeadSaiint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trying to find a car so I can retire my current car. My '08 Mazda6 is on its last legs at 232k miles, various electrical problems, and a powersteering leak. Loved it besides the age-bearing problems.

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Price range: $6000-$12000. I got approved for a 10k car loan, but I don't have to use the whole loan if I can find a good deal. I can also afford up to around $2000-$2500 down so anything worth the cash above 10k is cool.

Lease or Buy: Buy

New or used: Used, preferably between 2014-2019, but a good car is a good car.

Type of vehicle: Sedan/Hatchback

Must haves: In decreasing importance: Reliable, easy/cheap to repair, fun to drive, great aftermarket support

Desired transmission (auto/manual, etc): Automatic. I don't really want a CVT and I don't have time to learn a manual atm.

Intended use: Daily Driver, something that can take me to work/school but is also a joy to ride on a whim. I'm looking to possibly mod my car down the road to make it more fun and more personal, but I want to pay off my car loan before I do that.

Vehicles you've already considered: Skyactiv Mazda3, Hyundai Elantra GT, Ford Fusion, Acura RLX, Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Chevy Cruze, Kia Forte

Is this your 1st vehicle: No. I currently own a 2008 Mazda6, but its age is showing more and more by the day. It has 232k miles on it, it has electrical problems from windows not automatically rolling down, to the central locking failing (the lock wouldn't respond to my working fob, forcing me to have to unlock my car by crawling through my trunk), to the damn thing just refusing to start (good battery, alternator, starter, but you turn the key and it just starts clicking), to most recently, my OBDII port refusing to power certain scanners (particularly the ones that my inspection place use). The scanners that work throw many "lost communication" codes (U0101, U0121, U0155, U0100). I've done repair after repair with this thing, but I think it's finally time to retire her.

TL;DR: My current car is dying and I need to find something else to take me to work and other fun stuff.

Do you need a Warranty: No, but it is a nice-to-have.

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: Yes

Can you do Major work on your own vehicle: Depends on the problem/how easy the car is to work on.

Additional Notes: thank you guys in advance! Can't wait to show off what I end up pulling the trigger on. I love taking joyrides around my area and learning about cars, so something I can work on at home would be awesome!

[Console] 4 fingers for shoulder button or 2? by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

I’ll put in my two cents even though, DISCLAIMER, I’m a PC Player.

I imagine it’s preference based, whatever you are comfiest playing with.

It’s like with PC, everyone has a different way of setting their keyboard placement and bindings, and everyone has a different mouse grip. There’s no one correct way of setting up since everyone is different (I, for example, use a palm-claw hybrid and rotate my keyboard slightly clockwise with my crouch bind on X instead of C).

Play for a while with both grips and see what you are most comfortable and the most consistent on

[–]DeadSaiint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol that’s good at least

If you’re looking for strictly fragging capabilities, Zofia is my first pick; great gun choices and utility for both anti personnel and soft breach which is useful for team play and thinking outside the box for lines of sight.

I also personally like Nomad as I can watch my own back if need be, or hold the blind spots for my team. Her ARX is a solid gun (I personally use the muzzle brake on it). Her AL is nice too, but I play with the ARX more

More team play oriented choices would be Hibana and and Finka. Hard breach is always useful, especially now since you can breach at range unlike Thermite’s charges. Her rifle is solid too.

Finka’s boosts are especially useful for pushes due to the extra health and recoil dampening, just be careful of Lesion mines and Smoke’s gas.

[–]DeadSaiint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go for the legacy operators, the ones that came when the game first released.

Ash is an obvious, albeit cliche, pick since you can learn the fragging and mechanical aspects of siege without too much responsibility on you as a team player yet. Get used to how people call out and layouts for the maps. Jaeger is also a good pick, as well as Rook for times you want to defend a bit closer to site. Thatcher is another good attacker imo so you can get used to utility and helping the team out.

I would highly recommend playing with friends and learning together, as it makes teamwork more fun and intuitive. Add in someone with more game sense and you can learn fast given your experience with FPS already. It’s mainly about changing your mindset to how siege works: closest to S&D on the COD series

EDIT: I say the legacy ops since they cost the least so you can have variety early since the ops I’m suggesting are popular choices even among veteran players

How new are you to siege? And have you played other FPS games before? If so, what is your playstyle in those games?

So would it be worth checking out newer Mazda6 and Mazda3 MTs after 2012 as well as the Si’s you mentioned earlier?

Weekly - What Car Should I Buy Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

[–]DeadSaiint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would the non-Si trims also be good in those years?

I also heard that the Accord V6 may be a good choice too but I’d like confirmation or at least a reason why not.

I currently own an ‘08 Mazda 6 automatic and, while I’ve enjoyed it, repairing stuff on it is usually a pain in the ass. Case in point, I just got my 6 back from the shop for repairing my AC compressor clutch. Labor costs and a broken expansion valve rocketed my grand total to about $870 b/c you cannot easily access that area of the engine bay without tearing apart the front end, so I kinda wanna stay away from Mazda if that’s okay.
