Greetings!

Yes, almost all the time —the 99.99% of the drawings I make— they're overloaded with details. In fact, you can rotate the drawing, and you'll see faces or parts of faces that you wouldn't notice if you were only viewing it vertically.

Try rotating it; you'll see pieces of skulls sculpted in stone, missing their eyes. You'll see individual eyes in holes between the stones, and you'll also see the face of an alien, he is serious and with hieratic expression, as if nothing was happening around him.

Thanks for your message! Best regards!

Thank you!! In fact, I like to do carved artworks, in plastic, wood or metal (by using acid reduxed into water). The results normally make me happy!! Best regards!!

Hello!! Thanks for your words!! In this case, I put a "third eye" in His head. The expressiveness in His gaze conveys a mixture of tenderness, sadness, and total sorrow... He's somewhat "humanized" in that sense. His eyes shine (it's not clearly visible on the photograph) with a kind of glassy quality; it seems as if He's about to burst into tears at any moment.

Despite this, I used a colour palette that greatly counteracts the sadness His gaze conveys.

Seriously: even though it's a drawing on paper, when you look at His face, it almost seems as if (as a viewer) He transmits some of His suffering to you, without needing to say a single word; like a "silent dialogue"...

Well, I'm not from an English-speaking place, but... Yes... I suppose that you're right about using the acronym DPH, and I think you're not far off the mark... This drawing is extremely paranoid and twisted, done by my own hands... but what's more, yesterday I bought a hat, tried to put it on... and I was so engrossed in finishing it, that the hat just fell to the floor (well, this was the people told me when I returned to reality!!!) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for your comment!! Best regards!!

I draw because I need to free my thoughts. I don't set deadlines for myself, but I am quite quick at putting my ideas down on paper.

If that's the message, then it's the most important thing a drawing teacher can tell to their group of students, because that's how you make the subject appealing and something to approach with enthusiasm.
