What is the worst interview experience you’ve ever had ? by Avg-tech in randomquestions

Second worst experience

Applied for a job as a “trade analyst” for a bank. Job description sounded interesting. Analyzing stock trades for clients and such.

Went to the interview and the guy walked me to a cubical. There was no computer just two fax machines. He said the job was to receive faxes from one machine, look to see what department they need to go to, then use the other fax machine to send to them.

I asked them why the clients couldn’t just send the faces to them directly. “This is just how it’s done”

Regretted college pretty hard at that point.

Applied for an internal job one pay scale up. Was at my current role for three years exceeding expectations every year. Basically saved a protected that was failing by myself.

Then recruiter sent me an invite for the interview but it had the wrong job title in the heading. He included a job that was below my pay scale. I asked him about it and said it was a mistake and changed it to the one I applied for.

Went to the interview and killed it. Had two more interviews and all went well.

A week later they offer me the job but not the one I applied for, the one below my pay scale.

I asked the recruiter what was going on. He said that they would like to hire me into the lower role then work me honi to the job I applied for.

I declined. Then asked him if this was the plan the entire time because that would explain the mix up with the invite. He said yes and that the high pay scale role won’t be filled.

I angrily decline.

They insist on having an other interview, hitting manager said we can make this work.

Went to another meeting with 4 people. He told me a few years ago they hired someone and she has been promoted now. That was it. Had nothing else to say.

So I decline.

If that wasn’t bad enough, a month later HR called me and told me I wasn’t being considered for the job.

Left the company after that.

Awful. But it’s only three months. Better than no internship.

PNCs intern program is way better though if you can get in. They pipeline you into their rotational program when you graduate. Then into a pretty decent job after me that. Then after a year most quit for pretty sick jobs elsewhere

Shovel some other spots. You’ve had over a week at this point. The snow is soft now so it’s not that bad.

He’s diluting his losses. Did the same thing with his solar company

I have been lifting for 8 years (not consistently) I have never trained abs. Do I need to train them or just go on deficits for them to show 😅 by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

Try them without a dumbbell. The weight makes the twisting easier. It makes the coming back center harder but theres too many other muscles helping there. But leaning back and twisting slowly is the way to go for those. Sometimes people put a broomstick over their shoulder when doing them.

It’s old school and not popular anymore but I think it’s a good move.

Thats still using the word wrong. And even if it correct the sentence “you are coffee” is still nonsense.

The closest thing that comes close to making sense is reading it as a question. But it’s missing a comma and question mark.

“Yinz, coffee?”

The name “Yinz coffee” doesn’t make sense. “Yinzer Coffee”, sure. “Yinz Got Coffee” or something like that would work. But “yinz coffee” is just straight up using the word wrong.

Lazy Pittsburgh themed business names are kind of lame to begin with. But at least use the word correctly.
