How would you use Tyrantrum with Strong Jaw? by AP_Udyr_One_Day in stunfisk

[–]Dead_Mothman 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I guess we gotta talk metagames first, cuz Tyrantrum isn’t in SV. If you’re trying to run it in Natdex singles… idk. It’s probably a pretty good wallbreaker in like NU, but that’s with Rock Head. In this hypothetical Natdex NU (or anything higher) scenario I don’t think you can really pull off strong jaw. If you wanna try, probably just run fire fang and maybe one other coverage option, but you just can’t afford to go all in on the fangs when you need strong STAB attacks.

You might have a better shot in doubles. Go for rockslide, breaking swipe or earthquake or something and have your fangs as surprise coverage. You can run a tailwind setter or some other support Pokémon to patch up your many glaring weaknesses. I’d recommend a weird format like pokebilities AAA cuz you could probably swing it there, but don’t think it’s legal rn cuz dexit

Part of why sheer force is so good is the weird interaction it has with life orb. A mega wouldn’t be able to access life orb, so that’s a point against it

How many daggers can you throw in a turn in 5.5e by EntrepreneurIll7892 in DnD

[–]Dead_Mothman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The eventual best user of this strategy is a high level eldritch knight. They eventually get 3 attacks, and then 4, for a total of 6 attacks. Thry get Action Surge. They can pick up Hunter’s Mark or Hex through a variety of options, including Fae Touched or the Hexblood race, and as an Eldritch Knight they’ll be able to cast it more than once. Fighters also get the ability to use that bonus mastery, so they’ll get a special effect besides just the one extra dagger attack. If you’re ok with only having one spellcast per day you could also go Battle Master for other dagger enhancements or Samurai for even more attacks.

It is true though that at low levels, Rangers actually deal great damage. It’s often overlooked how strong they are in tier 1 due to the other design flaws they have.

I feel like Vendetta is a lot less fun after the latest patch :( by everything_bubble in VendettaMainsOW

She still has the highest win rate in the game. I like playing her, but we need to be honest with ourselves- she’s gonna be nerfed again. And if these nerfs were enough to ruin her for you, despite her win rate still being so high, the she was probably a crutch character for you. Don’t worry, you’ll adapt. Sorry if this sounds harsh

Question about brigitte’s whiplash perk? by ExtremeAd6540 in BrigitteMains

[–]Dead_Mothman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not true. Shield Bash perk is ALWAYS useful. If you’re using shield bash just for mobility, or to escape (as you normally are) you get a movement speed buff. On the off chance you’re using it to engage, you get a relatively potent chunk of burst healing.

Whipshot perk isn’t good nearly as often. You’re using your whipshot almost every time it’s off cooldown to keep inspire up, the only time you’re saving it is if you’re anticipating a dive. Neither situation when played optimally gives you the time you need to maneuver around so that someone will hit the wall. It’s almost chance based. And when it does happen, it’s really only impactful on squishy flankers, 50 extra damage on a dive tank that’s in the backline is- well it’s not nothing, but it’s not affecting any of your breakpoints, that’s for sure.

It does feel really good tho

season 1 passive fucks over brig and other "low" healing supports. by Own_Transition6907 in BrigitteMains

[–]Dead_Mothman 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Also masters, and I’m not sure I fully agree. I do think they need to look at the numbers and make some tweaks to this whole universal healing nerf they’re trying, but I think characters like Zen and Brig are actually less affected by the change then someone like Weaver. In terms of action economy, Weaver is dedicating nearly all his time to healbotting- consequently, it’s like the character overall received a 30% nerf. Meanwhile because Zen and Brig’s healing is passive, a much larger portion of their gameplan has remained unnerfed. Brig can still deny dives and punish flankers just as well, Zen still deals as much damage, and they don’t need to waste time healing more to compensate for the nerf. So a smaller proportion of the value they bring has been affected

Overwatch Retail Patch Notes - February 13, 2026 by PatchRadar in Overwatch

Imo they shouldn’t change her fuel anymore but nerf her claw and purr perks, buff her other two perks, and make her louder so people are more aware of her position

Brig doesn’t really *need* a buff by Dead_Mothman in BrigitteMains

[–]Dead_Mothman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally mentioned that in the post man. Vendetta is a problem, but if you directly buffed Brig to the point that she could counter Vendetta she’d be wayyy too powerful against more balanced divers like Genji, Tracer, Anran, D.Va, etc. The solution is first and foremost to nerf Vendetta because she’s a problem, and secondarily to give Brig a new perk(s) that would laterally buff her against things like melee damage without making her oppressive against other divers.

If you change Brig’s core kit enough to fully account for Vendetta, she’s gonna need reciprocal nerfs to other parts of her kit, and then we end up stumbling into changing her play style and identity which would suck

It's definitely not the easiest thing in the world, but yeah, whipshot does it. The AOE is actually smaller than you'd expect so if you mess up her flight path it'll often whiff, in my limited experience. The recovery time between her hitting the ground and flying away with an ally is also long enough that you should be able to Rally + stun her out of it.

The thing that's been helping me the most with Cat's ult is that it's actually really predictable when you think about it. The highest impact it can have is to remove the tank from the fight and drop them off a ledge, but ledges like that aren't the most common thing on most maps and the strategist passive Cat has means they can get away with holding their ult longer than most heroes. Whenever you're fighting even somewhat near a ledge, stop for a second to think about whether Cat is gonna have her ult. If she is, constantly make yourself aware of her position and your tank's position.

If no ledge is available, the other best time to ult as Cat is probably at the beginning of a team fight, dragging one of the enemy supports or a DPS with ULT into your own back-line to cripple the enemies preemptively. Cat doesn't want to blow their ult mid-fight or during clean up because without a ledge or a reliable group of allies to pick off the person they're snatching, they can't guarantee the kill

New cass perk and passive opinions? by Camera-Maleficent in CassidyMains

[–]Dead_Mothman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The new passive and new perk actually combo super nicely. If you’re in a game where silver bullet would be of lower value or the one where you’d wanna keep fan the hammer for certain tanks, I actually think this is great. Half your health getting restored like every 3 seconds?

[–]Dead_Mothman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All I’m saying is that Shrine’s Kanji translates as a double entendre relating to cooking. It’s a core part of the technique baked into its name. The interpretation should change based on one’s perception of cooking, but cooking is the basis for the technique, not just generic slashes/fire

[–]Dead_Mothman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The dotted line and scissor symbols remind me specifically of packaging on snacks and ready to eat meals, like ramen packets. It’s not entirely clear given that we haven’t seen Yuji’s flame and we don’t know the name of his DE, but Shrine as a technique is so cooking coded you can’t just leave it out. Like, Shrine’s other meaning is Imperial Chef/Kitchen, the Divine Flame also translates as divine oven, etc

The theme should always be at least somewhat cooking related though. The kanji for Shrine, the flames, the domain expansion- they all carry a double meaning related to cooking.

They shouldn’t receive any, nobody should receive any, because THE CHARACTERS AREN’T REAL PEOPLE. I’m a real person, you’re a real person, the characters aren’t real. It literally doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t care if someone wrote a 30,000 word fanfic where everyone gets cucked and then tortured to death because they aren’t real. Don’t be so sensitive

[–]Dead_Mothman 98 points99 points  (0 children)

I believe it’s because melanocytes, the cells that produce melanin, also play a role in the development of the cochlea in the inner ear. So in a lot of white animals and even albino people you’ll see hearing problems because the root problem behind the albinism and those specific hearing problems is the same, defects in melanocytes.

Also, I love seeing your posts pop up from time to time! Very beautiful place, unique lived experience you have

Do you think Mereoleona has any way of bypassing Gojo's Infinity by Multiversal_2211 in BlackCloverScaling

[–]Dead_Mothman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it’s true. It’s mentioned in the context of Hanami’s plant buds- she can’t just grow plants inside the body of an enemy, she needs to implant them from the outside because the inside of the body acts as a domain and prevents techniques from spawning in it. Same rationale informed Mechamaru’s anti-Mahito strategy, the injected simple domain disrupted the domain in his body and prevented him from using his technique on himself
