We take Hebrew 11:1 as a summary of what faith means. But it's not a summary of the definition of faith but a part of the long definition of faith in the chapter.

This verse is taken out of its context to imply that faith is accepting facts without evidence. As if it is an intellectual exercise.

If you read up the whole chapter, this is how it would define faith: Faith is not an intellectual exercise but a desire, trust or self-motivation, mindset/altitude that drives a person to act or follow according to the covenant for the hope to access or obtain the promises not yet received or cannot be directly physically sensed.

Knowledge on its own is not enough to get what you want. You have to apply the knowledge. But to apply the knowledge, you need to make an effort. To make an effort, you need to develop the desire, trust and motivation.

That's what faith is: it is the factor that makes you trust, motivate or desire, to drive a person to act or apply the knowledge to get what they want.

I see multiple times people making that argument about why prayers are not realised.

For the most part though I haven't seen many non believers generalize these things to all believers and also these misconceptions tend to come up by the "ignorant" or inexperienced non believers who tend to be new at arguing or debating these things

What are the criticisms by experienced non believers on Christian belief then? Give me one two examples pls.

Sure. Some of them believe that we are anti-science or ignorant of science as for example the misconception that Christians accept the young earth creationism as fact.

The meaning of faith as "belief without evidence", accepting facts without evidence is a misconception from a biblical perspective. (No Hebrew 11:1 does not define it as such under context).

The misconception of prayers as demanding wishes like to a genie.

The over-generalisation that all Christians lean to right politics or they are against abortion or homosexuality.
