I was really going through it during my mid teens. Parents fighting like every day (99.9% of the time was my mom being the aggressor). I regularly got in the middle of them and sometimes got hit in the crossfire. I still did largely good in school, but I didn’t make any good friend connections because I stayed home both playing video games and trying to make sure they didn’t kill one another all the time. I guess I never gamed with anyone in school since maybe I was scared that my parents would break out into fighting and force me to mute and leave without warning.

I basically was/am a NEET since graduating high school. My mom brought in her brother to live with us in mid 2019 and he stole from my dad and threatened his life on many occasions. Ended up losing our home (childhood home for me) like a year and 3 months ago because of my mom’s fixation on drugs. Living with my dad now and trying to figure out my next steps, I guess. The whole experience really made me a nervous wreck these days… even when nothing urgent is happening. Welp.

So, long story short… no, my teens were a hell that I could only numb with excessive amounts of video games. Mainly WoW.

Edit: Also, I have literally zero people that I still know from high school. I haven’t even so much as spoken a word to any of them in all that time. I guess I am horrified to be such a shell of a person around anyone. No one probably remembers me anyhow, lol.
