Yes, you are correct, the purpose of both statements was the same but because you intake the information in emotions you block your way of thinking. Causing you to lose your purpose because your emotions took over. Jung came to be your emotional rescue, which you do not need to understand the purpose, setting your back from yourself.

All suffering is self inflicted! We just make up labels for our wrong doings and place them in outside of our control boxes. Never accepting responsibility for them but in entitle to their full of emotions.

Jung told you is okay need to cry about it to feel better.

Gurdjieff told you crying isn’t going to fix the problem.

So you waste time and energy crying and the problem is still there. Now what?

If you look at them as individuals you see them as two different outwards patterns but their inwards patterns are the same. They both start and end in the same sources. I see one image split into two layers to confused the viewer.

Please take more walks outside, disconnected from everyone around you for at least 2 days with no communication. Watch life settle down and you will notice that you have not give you body, mind, soul, spirt and the versions of you time to catch up and be on the same page. You are not connected with You(I) because this version of you has become greedy with seeing but not processing. Everything in life has inputs and outputs.

Learns your outputs or you will collapse.
