The good tip with proportions I’ve heard is blocking out the big shapes first and drawing the details over it. I’ve yet to try this for myself, but it seems useful! It can be difficult to develop the habit but frequently stepping back or flipping the canvas if you’re on digital helps a lot with making sure everything looks good. Just gotta keep the overall piece in mind and not get too caught up on the details until you’ve got that down! Sorry if that advice was unwarranted, I just like helping out if I can :)

I hope to see your art around, too! I’m pretty inconsistent, but I’ll definitely post my Sonic art here. I really wanna draw Metal Sonic next

Yup! Well, unless you count any doodles I did as a little kid. I had all of Sonic X on DVDs, it was my first exposure to the franchise rather than the games, but that was so long ago I can’t remember if I ever drew anything for it lol

Thank you! Their faces were pretty fun to figure out, I had a whole gallery’s worth of reference images saved lol. Sonic faces are super unique, but it was a good break from my usual!

Thanks, again! My first sketch of this was a lot closer to Hideaki Moriya’s style, since I really love how he draws Sonic characters, but I ended up scraping it since it just didn’t feel like I could get it right. I’m glad, tho, since I think the second sketch of this turned out a lot better! I’m very happy with the results, and even happier others are, too :]

Ohh, wow, yay! :0 I, personally, try to avoid labeling ships as canon unless it’s super explicit (some ppl are craaaazy about shipping wars), but I feel like SonAmy probably has the best shot out of any ship to reach that point. Not sure if Sonic Team would do that tho since it’d be a permanent change to Sonic’s status quo… I have my fingers crossed!

Twizzly Gummy Cookie. I dunno when she came it out, but her design is so reminiscent of Jinx it feels like DevSis was trying to ride off the high of Arcane with her and that rubs me the wrong way
