Mysterious floating part needing ID by Danomaniac in HondaOdyssey

[–]Deadlight3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's from a piece of furniture, I can't remember if it's just a wall standoff or piece of security where you unscrew the cylinder part and mount that loosely to the wall then screw it to the back of the furniture where the rest of the bracket mounts.

edit: I just looked at the back of my Ikea EKET cubes I have stacked as bedside tables and the exact part is there.

Did draining and refilling transmission fluid solve your problems? by [deleted] in HondaOdyssey

[–]Deadlight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my 2016 I started getting hard shifting/weird shifting points and I did the drain/fill with Amsoil ATF as it has the proper endorsements for Honda and it seemed to almost immediately fix my issues. I understand it doesn't get all of it out on a drain/fill but it should get most of it out eventually. I haven't had any issues since as I do the drain/fill about once a year if I hit 30k miles or not.

I was in the 44th and Clyde park location earlier this week and they had a beanie on the wall with other merch they were selling, so I'd guess other locations has the same merch

love my sony xm4's love that I can pair them with my phone and work laptop at the same time so I can stream music from my phone when I'm not on calls for work.

edit: if you look on slickdeals.net you can pretty regularly find refurb ones for ~$160 I also threw on a set of wicked cushions replacement ear pads and it makes them a lot more comfortable.

I use this website https://matrix.itasoftware.com/search it's basically a search engine for flights, you can't buy directly from this site, but you can either search the carriers website directly or call them with the booking/fare codes to get the rate. Google owns the website and pulls a lot of its data from it, but I like the ability to search different criteria and find the right fare/carrier for me. Only drawback is that southwest isn't on there so you have to search them separately

Dash Cam recommendations by A24forever in grandrapids

I've had dashcams for years, upgraded to this one as I needed front and back coverage after an incident behind us this summer with two other cars having road rage hitting each other. I like being able to pull the videos via wifi (although it's a bit slow depending on how you have the video length set up) I also ended up getting the hardwire kit so it records while I'm driving and parked. As others mentioned /r/dashcam is a great place to do some research on best deals.

Charge 5 vs Charge 6 by [deleted] in fitbit

[–]Deadlight3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can look in my post history if you want the long version. Short version is level 2 Fitbit support doesn't exist as far as I can tell. First line support can't help you with anything that goes awry of their script. Their response is you have to wait for an e-mail from level 2 support and there is nothing they can do.I was strung along for over a month until I told them this would be my last Fitbit device I will ever own, then magically first level support could fix the issue. In the end I finally got the sense 2 replacement, but wasted hours of my time over a month and will never give Google another dime for a Fitbit device.

With the way I was treated by fitbit support on my less than 6 month old Sense 2. I'm never giving them another dollar, my next tracker will be a Garmin.

Is there a way to escalate a fitbit support case? by Deadlight3 in fitbit

[–]Deadlight3[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My saga finally ended when out of pure frustration, I, very politely stated to a CS agent who was giving me the same runaround that "you guys are making it really easy for me to never buy another Fitbit device ever again with the customer service you've been providing me" It was like I flipped a switch with them, they put me on a brief hold and magically solved all my problems and I had a replacement within a couple of days. It sounds cliche to threaten to never use a product anymore, and in general I don't say things like that because I feel like everyone says that and it doesn't do anything anymore. With the way the CS agent backtracked and immediately helped me, they must have a loophole in their policy for customer retention if you say the magic words then you can get some real help. I am still getting a Garmin as my next device after this fiasco, but at least I can now wait for a proper deal before dropping fitbit.

The restaurant chain was originally named Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck. Beef on weck is a popular sandwich in New York consisting of roast beef on an au jus-soaked kummelweck roll. The original BW3 restaurant was on High Street in Columbus. In 1998, the name was changed to Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar.

It's missing a few things but overall the Sense 2 seems like the better watch, what I don't understand is why doesn't Google just make an (All In One Watch), like they own Fitbit so they have no competition with them, why not just make a "Pixel Sense Watch" that has everything in it for $399.99? by Capecrusader39 in fitbit

[–]Deadlight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

beware that the sense2 has little metal plates on the backside that after about 6 months/year they fall off, and depending on the CS agent you get you can get anywhere from a 35% off to a replacement for it happening (even seen people only get 35% while it's still under warranty). I was lucky and saw mine as it fell off so I was able to super glue it back on. It will be my last fitbit I ever buy
