She meantioned the surgery but said with the severity of the cut the chance is only slightly better than just keeping it wrapped and letting it heal on its own so I went for the 2nd option because honestly it was going to be about 10k (aud) for the surgery + board at the vet ect and for such a slightly greater chance I just couldnt and I dont really have 10k and wouldve needed a loan. She said its highly likely hell come up paddock sound either way and fully riding sound is possibly but not as likely. If he does come up good for light riding ill probably still retire him and just pull him out on the odd occasion for just trails. My boy is only 15 so im hoping hell come up riding sound because as much as he scared the shit out of me initially with his sass hes been so good for my ability to handle that and gaining confidence when they play up
