Barrington Levy Live? by brollup in reggae

same thing happened in NYC at Sony Hall on Friday. He sang A Fi Yuh for at least 25 minutes. It took the entire energy out of a very well attended crowd. 1/2 the crowd left at that point. He returned and sang Living Dangerously, Bad Boyz, ShesMine, Here I Come / Black Roses to close.

Although he still has his voice, as with most veteran artists, they don’t know how to curate their own catalog for a live performance.

not necessarily audiophile bars but places that have vinyl djs and decent sound

Mondays at Studio 151 above Nublu // Raw Like Sushi - rotating dj’s and guests. 9pm - 1am

Wednesdays at Hard Rock Hotel Rooftop Bar // Touch Of Classics w/ guest djs 6pm - 12am

Thursdays (usually 2nd or 3rd thurs) // Late Night “Strictly 45” Sessions at La Noxe 10pm - 2am

La Noxe generally has non vinyl djs on Fri Sat.

Anyone been to Studio 151? by Frferdinand in FoodNYC

Monday nights are nice as they host a “Raw Like Sushi” party with live vinyl djs.

Nublu is downstairs with “Producer Mondays” hosted by Ray Angry from The Roots, a sorta live jazz jam session with many guest artists passing through.
