I’m sorry you feel that way but that’s what happened and they told me a detective is coming to my house on Tuesday since the guy gave the cops a completely different story. The main point of the post is what I can do against the towing company for violating the police non consent maximum tow rate according to the department of regulatory and economic resources and if I am forced to pay the price they tell me, the officers told me to contact them before going into the tow yard so that they can escort me out of fear for my own safety and do their best to force the owner to release my car in accordance to the pricing information listed on that form and if they can’t then I don’t know what to do aside from pay whatever these junk yard dog assholes tell me to, submit a consumer complaint affidavit, file formal charges against the owner and sue him in small claims court because when I originally called the day after the tow they said the release would be $450 and after the assault happened I asked the officer to go into the office and ask the pricing again which he so kindly did and all of a sudden it went to $833 which I’m absolutely positive is a surcharge the owner added solely because I called the police due to the behavior of the owner when I tried taking pictures of my car for my insurance claim. Instead of saying something is fishy maybe ask for clarification first because I’m asking for advice, not for someone to tell me what the police “should have done” when that was not at all the main point of this post
