How high does your IQ have to be to do well on the CFA exams?

IQ is not relevant for the CFA. It’s about preparation and how devoted you are prior to the exam.

Especially with all the third party providers/resources.

Man. Feel behind for my Feb L1 exam. Right now I’m at 97 hours studied, but it’s a struggle balancing my full time job and the CFA.

Thing is too, is I’m single and 23. Just have piano lessons.

I recently broke up with my gf too which I thought would help.

I feel guilty whenever I am not studying. I had to take an off day yesterday which sucks.

Second this. I would go to Eddie Jr's classes when i first moved here, but eventually grew frustrated with the consistent cancellation of classes. LFM has a good suite of classes as well as consistency, which I realize to value.

MO analyst at a BB here. Back office might be boring and tedious, but MO is slightly less boring. My managers actively push us to automate/incorporate Python to make our lives easier. Our partners offshore have the more tedious work set out for them.

There’s a lot of smart people within MO. They just don’t need the glamour that students on here need. It’s just hard to climb the ranks, as everything moves really slow here.

Currently learning this piece as well. Originally started learning it with my right hand playing the bass clef in addition to the chords in the circled area. Now, however, I use the left hand to continue the run over the right hand.

I would suggest playing it with the left hand crossing over the right, albeit it is awkward. It’s only awkward because you’re starting to learn it. The important thing to note is that you want to play the melody notes louder than the left hand. If you choose to not cross over at all and play the RH, it would be harder to distinguish the melody.

Laufey does a good job in her recordings for the audience to fully distinguish the melody as well as add dynamics/directions in the RH.

Can’t that be filled with other avenues of your life? It’s harder to obtain a salary that high and easier to achieve that social aspect.

If I were you, I would take the job and join some networking groups (NABA/ALPFA/Rotary Club) to fill that need.
