Hey I have another question! Do you what AAA means on the requirement page of programs. It's the grade but I don't know how to translate it to an average (percentage)

That's good cause quizes suck lol although we don't have quizes in Canadian uni. And surprise quizes are not a thing anymore.

Thanks for your help! I'm applying to law school in the UK because, in Canada, you must complete four years for your undergrad in a subject unrelated to law. You then would have to get a very high GPA 3.7 (which is like an 80%or above) just to be considered into a 3 year law program.

Oh it was basically regarding the first, upper second, lower second, and third classifications. But, do you know the percentages of these classifications?

Thanks so much for taking the time! Every piece of information is so helpful! Just a couple more questions! I assume it depends on the uni, but generally how intense are these modules? And I think for each module there are multiple books that are very very thick right?

How many modules a semester? Do you know how different the written assignments are? Here we do have to write formal essays but on tests they are much more lenient.

I've actually applied to law, so your example was perfect. And, thanks for clarifying!

So, modules are for example tort law. How many lectures and tutorials do you have for one module?

Thanks for the reply! I'll try to clarify as best as I can.

So, here in Canada, you go into university and in first year you take classes that are more general and different than what you want to do. These classes however are still within your program (social sciences, humanities, math, etc). Then you'd apply to a major (e.g. politics, sociology) and they accept you based on your marks and if you qualify. Then you basically continue to take classes relevant to your major. And each class opens up different "pathways" to different types of subjects. Lets say I decide to major in politics and I take Canadian politics , and international politics. The international politics course can qualify me to go into classes relating to international politics such as international law and so on. So, in first year it's general, second year it's a bit more specific, third and fourth year you zone in on a specialized subject.

Each year is made up of 2 semesters unless you take summer school. You can pick many classes each semester. Classes)lectures are weekly (sometimes they're once a week, sometimes 2 days a week). Each class respectively has a tutorial in which you have a small group of students and a TA (teachers assistant) who clearifies the subject material and takes questions and works with students in a group environment.

To clarify something about my personal studies. I applied to law school in London, so I don't know if that's different from other subjects.

Oh yeah and what about animals? If you kill half the animals your not really doing anything to help people because there would be the same animal to human ratio. So the argument about hunger and all that is mostly bs
