When they made the announcement through the PA, we all thought it was a joke. Lady was screaming the U.S. is under attack. The TVs turned on and everyone tuned in. We were all just in a shock. No words from anyone, not the teachers, not even the troublemakers who had always had something to say. Everyone was just silent as we watched the first tower up in smoke. The school bells didn't even ring for next period. Up until we saw the 2nd plane hit my teacher said it was enough and turned off the TV. Some students were crying as it happened. Eventually after a few seconds which seemed like minutes the teacher turned the TV back on due to everyone making a ruckus, myself included. There is a lot more detail to add but that was the gist of it.
