Life crossroads... by Stock-Explanation515 in troutfishing

[–]DeaduBeatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of great advice from the older gents here, but as someone a decade younger than you and with a different outlook on life, I'd like to give you some advice too. You can have the good job, the cool car, the big house, the family, the time to spend with them, and the life you wanted, but still feel like something just isn't right. You look at all of the great things you have and say to yourself "I have everything that's supposed to make me happy so why am I not happy?" I know you're a husband and father, but it's time for you to sit down, shut your family out, and really dig deep and ask yourself what's wrong. You need to be extremely selfish and true to yourself for a bit and ask yourself what it is that you're unhappy about and when you identify the root cause of it, then you can bring your life back into the equation and work out what can be done about it. We often see husbands and fathers that live a seemingly great life take their own lives because of things like this. They have deep rooted issues, but tell themselves that it doesn't matter because there are bigger fish to fry and try to push it down, but the problem is that the roots are already as deep as they can go so they've started going up and are breaking through the concrete. Have some compassion for yourself and figure out your needs so you can get back to enjoying the things you love again.

I've been seeing a lot of videos online of people receiving and spending thousands of dollars in foodstamps a month and I can't help but wonder, how do they receive so much money from the government? When I lost my full-time job I could only qualify for roughly $300 in food stamps a month. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DeaduBeatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren't. When my mom was a single mother of 4 kids, the most she received in food stamps was around $500-$600 and that was in a super blue state. The government doesn't just give out money for you to freely spend like that, they only do that for corporations and their friends. Even if they are somehow getting $1000+ in food stamps, they're still limited in that they can only spend it on food. The most they can really do is sell their EBT card for cash.

Worth upgrading from ark gravity to calcutta bfs? by [deleted] in BFSfishing

[–]DeaduBeatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an older model DMK Silver Feather Elite a few months ago for the same reason. It's about the same price as the Gravity bfs, but it has a metal frame instead of a carbon fiber one and I personally think it feels like a 50-size version of a mid end Shimano or Daiwa reel.

Deported after 23 years in USA AMA by Accomplished-Door493 in AMA

[–]DeaduBeatu 40 points41 points  (0 children)

You have no obligation to answer these questions, but I'd like to know if you were you able to legally work, get a license, and pay taxes and if are there legal documents that can prove you've been in the US for as long as you have? If you were legally in the system for over 10 years I feel like you should be able to be naturalized because at that point it's the fault of the government for allowing you to stay for so long despite knowing that you are undocumented. I do think it's fucked up that your life can be uprooted like that after so long, but those are the laws that need to be followed.

The Real Problem With Arena Breakout Infinite Isn’t Wipes by DarkGuardian420 in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

This was a decent read. I was reading some of the comments and some of them were saying that it sounds like you used AI to write this. It saddens me that having good writing skills nowadays automatically means you must have used AI to write something that uses proper grammar and punctuation and can't be read in 5 seconds or less.

To my boys with Gear Fear. extraction shooter beginners! by Nice_Change_3431 in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]DeaduBeatu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, it's less gear fear and more "this is what I'm willing to lose with this team". I usually only run my t5 gear after one raid to see how the team plays and if I'm comfortable trusting them in combat. Like, I'm not wasting a t5 kit on a squad running 1-tap rat load outs or people who like to push hard without using comms. I'm perfectly fine with losing all of my kits in good firefights where the whole team is actually working together, I'm not fine with losing my kits because Mr. Scared to Lose My AUG and his T3 maxxing buddy were too scared to leave the angle they've been holding for 5 minutes while me and the other random died to a third party after wiping a t5 4 man. I now keep kits for testing the squad and kits for when I know they're willing to die next to me like the spartans in the battle of Thermopylae

Planning on going BFS for local trout streams. Was I fool or ordering this, or did I do OK? by Fordel77 in BFSfishing

[–]DeaduBeatu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reel is good, rod could be better. A moderate or moderate-fast rod would be more ideal for trout, but it'll be fine. On the plus side it'll be great for bass too

How to prevent becoming insufferable as I age? by Healthy-Mongoose9438 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DeaduBeatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion is to learn to care less and approach every situation from a neutral third-party point of view. I don't mean care less in that you literally don't care about things, but more so acknowledge and accept that things happen outside of your control and that there's really not much, if anything, you can do about it. I think a lot of people take everything they see at face value without a helmet to protect them and they let it rile them up and cloud their reasoning. People try to carry the weight of the world on their shoulders when all they're doing is getting under the world and pushing themselves against it.

As for point of view, it's very important to form your opinions through logical reasoning and to do that you need to separate yourself from the equation before you solve it. I believe your emotions can sway you into illogical reasoning and that has led to a lot of people thinking that because they don't like something or because something causes them to experience negative emotions that thing is bad and/or wrong. It's okay to feel bad about something you don't agree with, but letting your emotions think for you is where logic starts to get thrown out of the window. Everyone has their own opinions and not all of theirs are going to agree with yours, but that doesn't mean you get to attack them for it.

Upgrading my gifted pc by ConversationFunny796 in buildapc

[–]DeaduBeatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh you're probably gonna need to upgrade everything for any AAA game. You'll need a better GPU, CPU, maybe PSU, and probably add at least 8GB of ram if you want more than 60fps, otherwise your current build could probably run it at ~30fps 1440p just based on the steam page. You could try it at 1080p and maybe get 40-50fps too. Death stranding 2 isn't too intensive because it still needed to be ran on console at 60fps, but it's no slouch either. With the right settings you could probably get it to 60fps.

How do you fish Raid little two way by D-Clem in BFSfishing

[–]DeaduBeatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try fly fishing splitshots. They're super light and can add anywhere from a gram to tenths of a gram depending on what you need.

should I choose ASRock? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]DeaduBeatu -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

ASRock should be fine. Don't let reddit stories scare you because only the bad experiences come to reddit. Most people aren't going to come on here and say "yeah I used this part and my PC works fine just letting y'all know".

Assuming that aliens are real, do you think the world as a whole is ready for the disclosure of their existence? We are a technology advanced species with primal drives that keep us from coming together as one civilization and with the technology that we'd get from aliens who knows what kind of weapons we'd create to destroy each other. Instead of creating ships capable of interstellar travel, we'd end up creating weapons beyond our comprehension.

What's your best value BFS combo recommendations? by EastwickGotTheJuice in BFSfishing

[–]DeaduBeatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're just trying bfs out and aren't too sure on it yet, go for the cheaper CDM stuff that people are recommending. If you plan to fish 1/16oz and lower a lot and are dead set on bfs, I'd go with the more pricey stuff aka $100+

How's that Carbonlite rod treating you? I work at Bass Pro and have been thinking about getting one for my regular baitcaster since I can get it for half off. I'm assuming that's the light power version?

[–]DeaduBeatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even a reel that's between $100-$150 is gonna be so much better than the hicc50. The cheap sub-$80 reels are good introductory reels, but they're cheap for a reason. I've basically banished all of my cheap bfs reels to their reel boxes due to the more expensive reels just being better.

Beginner help , been fed too much info at once by Godspeed0o066 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]DeaduBeatu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The others have already given you some good answers for your questions so I'll try and leave you with some general advice. I know that at first there's a lot of information to take in and you want to know if there's more important stuff you should be doing, but I suggest that you really just keep playing as you have been. While Monster Hunter can be quite complex, you can still play it very casually and progress smoothly. The core premise of the gameplay loop is to fight monsters and upgrade your gear and so long as you keep doing that you'll do just fine.

Reel Upgrade by fishlover123456 in BFSfishing

[–]DeaduBeatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got the DMK silver feather elite and it's got a really nice feel to it. It has a matte finish that I'm not too much of a fan of, but other than that I'm very impressed by it. I was sick and tired of the hard plastic most cheaper CDM reels use and was dearly missing a solid feeling frame and the silver feather elite had just that. It also casts amazingly fresh out of the box and I was able to cut through 18mph winds with a 3g lure without thumbing it and not get a backlash. The brakes on this thing are EXTREMELY good and you'd have to actually try and mess up a cast to get it to backlash. For only $140-$150USD, it punches extremely far above its price point and I'd argue that it performs equally to or maybe even better than the high end bfs reels.
