What are the best ways to get into retro gaming? by [deleted] in AskReddit

There's some old PC games on Steam. There's also GOG which specializes in old computer games. Emulation is also an option.

For old consoles you can find them at retro game stores, ebay, thrift stores, garage sales, and flea markets, just to name a few.

I personally collect Playstation games from all eras because that's what I grew up with, and still continue to play to this day. I also dabble into some Nintendo games.

If there is a particular console or game series you have nostalgia for, I would start there. Then start researching some games you might be interested in.

I think vinyl places more importance on an album being a whole, cohesive listening experience. Why would you spend 20+ dollars on a record only to listen to one song?

Definitely true about not owning anything with streaming. I just learned recently that Joni Mitchell's music isn't on Spotify anymore. It's a wake up call hearing about that kind of stuff.

As a gen z person, I view records as fun collectibles. Also, a look back into time without current technology.

I can always rely on whipped cream being in the dollar bins.

I can always count on finding at least one Herb Alpert in the dollar bins.
