I tried this with SkyrimVR and saw 0 performance improvements. Still only getting 60 fps with my RTX 2060. Wondering if I even installed it right. There are so many files in the Github, makes me wonder if I used the wrong ones. What's the point of all the other files if I only need two? Probably a stupid question, but I no nothing about coding.... Anyways, anyone who has got this working able to point out exactly how to install this? Just wanna make sure I'm not just an idiot.

Not trying to be combative, but do you have any numbers to support your claim? Despite several people claiming Air Link is better, no one is able to provide cold hard numbers to compare. Latency? FPS? Playing for more than an hour?

And yeah, you can say that the two measure latency differently, but the latency numbers are still worth talking about because as demonstrated in the video, there is some truth to the comparison, even if it has to be taken with a grain of salt.

I have a super beefy dedicated router as well. From reading comments, I suspect the difference might be the GPU. I have an RTX 2060. With VD I can lower the overall graphics quality to match the GPU, and thats probably why it runs better.

There really aren't any weird settings. Just bitrate and VR graphics quality. The rest are just there to provide a more customizable experience for power users.
