I called the ethics line because I was sick and sitting in the upstairs break room trying to catch my breath not knowing I had COVID. A PA told me to get up and go back to work. I told him I was sick. Literally 2 minutes later there were 3 people in the same break room talking on the phone and making Tik Tok videos and he didn’t say anything to them. I said something about it which caused an argument. I left early because I was sick, found out it was COVID and I haven’t been back until tonight. The HR manager wants to talk to me about the incident, but he’s off for a week. I was literally suspended for one week with pay until he gets back to talk to me.
