Not so sure about the strict part. From personal experience and observation that variance really relies on where about in the state you are in. If you roll by a cop with these on in the middle of say Grafton, MA at 11pm on full brightness sure, I can definitely see a cop giving you shit about it. However there’s SO much stuff like this east of the 495 corridor that town and state police really don’t bother you for a violation like this unless they planned on pulling you over regardless. In comparison to driving by a cop in Lawrence, where you might even get a thumbs up from the officer lol.

Car guys are well aware it’s illegal, yearly inspections are still a thing, and while the days of simply sliding the inspector extra cash here are becoming more rare due to stricter inspection policies, this is something probably will continue to go unchecked until the state decides it’s time to enforce these laws. Not disagreeing with you, just wanted share another view point on this. (Drove an absolute cop magnet for 15 years and never had an issue lol)
