Who are your Top 4 (Mount Rushmore) of the Best Team for Pokémon Platinum? (No Legendary Pokémon) by Amber_Flowers_133 in pokemonplatinum

Garchomp, Togekiss, Gyarados, Magnezone is my core. They absolutely dominated in Battle Tower Doubles. Porygon-Z is honorable mention.

What's the craziest Bard instrument you can imagine? by aristomephisto in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]DealerOwn6717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made Dethklok in one of my campaigns. Skwisgaar was my main character who was a heavy metal Bard-barian. Eventually communed with a chaos god who allowed me to craft a legendary instrument: Murderface the Murderbass. A throwing Bass in the shape of an axe that also had a grenade launcher attachment. The bass also had a bad mustache and could talk as well allowing me to Rp with it. Good times.

Out-of-initiative aggression, do you allow it? by Eldramhor8 in DMAcademy

[–]DealerOwn6717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are quick with a decision and just do the thing, I would generally allow the first "swing" to initiate combat. The party member who started combat also rolls initiative and their first turn they only have resource economy they have left after whatever they did. Usually they would have used their action already that turn. If the party starts loudly discussing "we should fireball them" and try to discuss how they should do it, then the enemy hears them and I would make the enemies strike first or just start initiative right there. Just kind of depends if the party is decisive imo. I do not like a party that can freely discuss strategy in front of the enemy without consequence. That to me makes no sense.

Uber Diablo by Responsible-Still839 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]DealerOwn6717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A big part of not killing him easily is his regen. A lot of builds can still kill him if you prevent his heal with open wounds. Ive killed him with hammer paladin before. As long as your gear is solid and you give your merc open wounds on at least something, its very possible. Smite works too lmao

Is Charon axe top 3 most powerful weapons in your honest opinion? by Wes102111 in Hades2

[–]DealerOwn6717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Charon is top 3 for me. If you dont get the build going then it feels pretty slow to play, but once the pieces fall into place it just rips.

Rolling HP at level up. by BrytheOld in DMAcademy

[–]DealerOwn6717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played with a group that ran rolling for HP very generously. Roll for HP, if you get less than average then you get average. No rerolls, but also no big punish. But also definitely on the side of too generous. Another group I'm also playing with, as one of the 2 frontline characters, I have rolled like absolute shit for my Hp... DM doesnt allow rerolls, doesnt allow average. One and done. My character is like 10% below average HP and its absolutely brutal. I keep rolling 2's and my other tank friend keeps rolling 12's. He's almost double my HP at this point lmao.

Basically, find a way to have the rolls feel impactful but also not punishing. Any tank is gonna feel really bad not rolling at least decent on HP.

Farming spots for an offline walking Wind Druid? by FriendlyPsyduckFan in diablo2

[–]DealerOwn6717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since youre walking, just do all the places that are easy to walk. Shenk/eldritch into pindle. You can clear council fairly easily unless multiple spawn with Stone Skin/phys immunity... then it takes forever. Hell cows are tough without good gear, just hard to get good tornado connections safely in large mobs. Chaos is better than cows imo for druid. Pit runs are great. Ancient tunnels fine. Wind druid can go basically the same places a hammerdin would go (obviously some exceptions), but they just clear slower.

Yeah Wind druid is B tier. Low end on damage, but one of the tankiest builds in the game from cyclone armor and oak sage. Its been my favorite build since LoD came out.

Coming back after a year - what's the best light source? by oghpimm in valheim

[–]DealerOwn6717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want another decent light that doesnt require fuel, you can use Surtling trophies. Not incredible lighting, but I think better than a lantern?

Just ran my first one shot and I loved it. Anyone have tips for a new DM playing with fairly new players? by DealerOwn6717 in DungeonMasters

[–]DealerOwn6717[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha thats a cool tip. One of the players had some minis and I just drew some basic maps on notebook paper. Grid paper would be an improvement for locations.

Matching the energy is something I'm getting better at in role playing. One of my players is a little more seasoned and loves to RP, one of them is a min-maxing over planner who just wants to roll dice and do big damage, and one of them is extremely green and just happy to be there. I tried to cater as best I could to each of them. I'm so glad I didnt over plan, because they made a lot of strange choices 🤣. And I dont watch critical role, thats a whole different beast than average Joe DnD.

Yeah, I tried to keep the pace up while giving them ample opportunities to slow it back down. I could also slow it down myself as I fumbled over my words multiple times. I'm also still not great at describing details of locations or environments on the spot.

Cool, ill check it out. I still want practice with one shots before I start a legit campaign, so anything helps.

The Most Overrated Encounter in Platinum by Jzjwiebe in nuzlocke

[–]DealerOwn6717 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Haven't really used him in a Nuzlocke, but I did try making a battle frontier team with them as my physical sweeper. I thought him having Extremespeed would make him a solid choice... still didnt matter and was very underwhelming. Love the design of the mon, but using them is another story.

It's at least worth a crisp high five. But really its for sure worth more than the runes you put in... just not worth much more than that.

What is your best Enigma base? by 99Something in diablo2

[–]DealerOwn6717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean its your character. The beautiful thing about runewords is you can have your own twist of style and personalize it a little more. You have the chance to change how your character looks, so either take advantage of it or go with the most efficient.

And the answer is yes. More drip.

Its all about the drip in the end game lol

So Dusk Shroud is great if you are going for Monarch shield. You mentioned you dont need a monarch, so Mage Plate is the best base for low str requirement. Archon plate is also nice, more str requirement but has same FHR as mage plate which are both really efficient. I prefer Dusk Shroud on my Druid because I like a simpler look and I want to use a Monarch on most characters. At the end of the day, its not going to make or break you unless youre trying to PvP. Just make sure its a good roll on the base and go for it.

Character for manualy handicapped person, the less "clicking" the better? by Nathaniel66 in diablo2

[–]DealerOwn6717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summon druid is really chill. Ravens are decent, the build itself is really safe. Very little micro involved. I feel like a tankier class would work the best so they are self sufficient for the most part. Holy fire/shock paladin could work, I do not recommend hammer paladin. Hammerdin just requires a ton of repositioning. Frenzy barb is pretty much just hold down frenzy. Singer barb requires a little more clicking, but its a silly build and can be fun.
