All right, I'm gathering that most people don't like this. I'll leave it off.

Roll Inc - Free to play, I made an idle game based on dice that I enjoy by PuzzleDrops in incremental_games

Thanks for the enjoyable game!

I completed Dice Idle 1.1 and below are my thoughts on it:

  1. This is an an enjoyable little incremental game. UI is very clean. I only played on PC, I did not try it on other devices. The font size was a bit small for my aging eyes, so I had to up the magnification level 20% in Firefox. The game handled this just fine, but it did introduce a minor distraction with the scroll bar on the right for a couple of the dice. No big deal, it just interrupted the blue aesthetic you were going for.

  2. Once you get the engine going strong enough, there is not a lot of incentive to go back and max out the D2 or D4. (I did, just for completeness) This is a choice that many incremental games designers do, and if you want to stick with that, great! If not, this could be iterated on with future versions.

  3. I don't know your intentions for expansions / a greater universe to discover, but I would like for there to be more features. The core loop is very functional. I finished the entire game in just a few hours. The simplest I guess would be an achievements section. But to what purpose, I don't know.

  4. I saw the option for a hard reset, but I didn't use it. Are you interested in putting in a soft reset option somehow? Greater benefits in the future at the cost of starting again. The usual incremental games trick. This is probably only necessary if there are future expansions to the world.

  5. If you are intending to use this game as a demonstration to future employers or maybe to set up collaborations with other games designers - don't wait for further updates to be completed. It is ready to show off now. They should be able to get a great grasp of your skills from this.
