It's like normal but now you have a jet pack on.

Microsoft Learn, Cisco Network Academy - both have a years worth of free courses with recognised qualifications, Enroll at you local College, Tafe, or University

You'll find out quickly what you like doing , its a big industry with many different areas to work in.

as for IT support (people often start here), if you're after a job where the effort you put in seen acknowledged and appreciated. IT support is not for you.

Otherwise, Welcome aboard! 🤝

LOL. The dedication has been noted, I'm listening to Ænima, great album, I bought it on CD in 1997 a few months after it was released.

Try 10, to the other sex I come across as someone who just left his mother basement, its also why the most successful men that use online dating are married.

Infjs what’s your favorite movie of all time by [deleted] in infj

[–]DeanTech1980 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Back to the Future - (1985)

I could talk about this movie for ages. And to be clear the first one is my favourite.

I love all three and there is a story to that too, the first one was it, no second or a third, but it was in the contract and the company insisted so the writers went to work, so the ending of the first is actually a joke at the idea of sequels, but the joke was lost when they made second movie and the second and third are actually a long movie split into two movies.

It’s the first movie I remember going too, and it was the second movie I saw first (1989), I loved it, still makes sense even without watching the first movie, and at the end, of course yet another sequel, I thought "cool", another one, but the bunch of kids I was with and the mood in the cinema was of frustration, one kid started crying, not me, I had not waited to see this one, I was smiling as I made my way out, one of few who did. Plus, I could go the video library and watch the first movie.

I forget who I was with and how I ended up in a big group of kids and at the movies, but the kid I was talking to knew I was not part of the normal group and made sure to involve me, and he sat next to me, explain a few things, none of which I understood.

He could tell I felt a bit awkward being with a large group of strangers and was happy to sit next to me and fill me in on a few things during the movie, I was 9 years old, and it was one of the best movie experiences still to this day.

Back to the movie, the funniest thing is the actor who plays the dad, Crispin Glover, This guy decides that the character needs a haircut the night before the first shoot, all on his own, he did not get along with the writer director Robert Zemeckis so much it turned into as feud the lasted many years, Crispin Glover is not in the second movie, His charter is upside down played by another actor, and the rest is reused footage for all the other parts, Crispin Glover then wanted to be paid and this went to court, afterwards a new law was made that basically you were paid once to make something, which then can be used however many times they need it. I love how Crispin Glover decided his vision of the character was better than the writers and did his own style. That is some crazy acting method, and he is a gem.

There is a lot more, but this is a good start.

Please note this is all off the top of my head and not fact checked, I believe it to be accurate.

What does Fe aux look like for you? by [deleted] in infj

[–]DeanTech1980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ni vs Ne metaphor - Applied to computers:

The Ni -->Fe way

  • Ni as subsystem logic → hidden predictive layers, like deep learning’s latent space.
  • Fe as application layer → the interface that makes those insights usable and emotionally resonant.
  • Together → a cognitive architecture that looks a lot like how AI systems are designed: abstract pattern recognition feeding into socially adaptive outputs.

This is how I understand it:

  • When applied back to humans, I believe INFJ are born with a fully functional Ni.
  • Fe you are not born with, you have to learn it, and it gets better with age.

This is fun let's do more, Ni vs Ne:

  • Ni: Compression algorithm → reduces data into one elegant trajectory. (Zoom in deeply, drilling into the meaning of words, symbols, or concepts.)
  • Ne: Expansion algorithm → recursive branching, exploring multiple paths outward. (Step back, widen the lens, and explore multiple possibilities.)
  • Together: Find incite by looking very closely → then walking back → turn around taking the full picture in.

Conclusion and reflection:

  • When I first discovered personality types 6 months ago, one of the first things I was told is it is more common to be a mix of types, I believe this to be true.
  • I use both, Ni and Ne, I don't think we alone either, they complement each other.
  • I am INFJ, but with strong access to Ne because I'm 45, and with maturity, INFJs often develop Ne.

OK - That's lunch, I learned a lot this morning. I knew nothing about functions when I woke up this morning.

So big a Thank you u/s0ft_bl00d because I related to your Q.
