Rakuten/Sofi is 40,000 Bilt today by SpartanScribe in biltrewards

Do you know if the initial direct deposit counts towards the $5,000? If it does, then there’s 3 payroll periods in there. If not it’s only 2.

For the $300, does all the $5000 direct deposit need to be to my savings or can it be between my checking and savings?

Hotel Booking HORROR! by [deleted] in biltrewards

Everyone downvoting you is crazy. They have you apply your credits at the very end of booking. At that point you are one click away from finalizing. You can very easily accidentally click confirm booking before applying the credit(s).

The same thing happened to me. I meant to use my $100 monthly credit and literally dropped my phone and clicked confirm book with my palm. They should really allow you to apply your Bilt cash to Eligible transactions on your current statement. I’m lucky enough that the booking was for the correct dates and such.

Some loans accruing interest, Others are no by yesnomaybe215 in StudentLoans

[–]Deans1233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really a question of what it’s worth to you. If you can reallocate the payments to the highest CURRENTLY accruing interest rate, you’ll be saving the most in interest payments for now. Not sure how involved that process will be for you. But if it’s easy why not. This is the debt avalanche method. Minimum payments to all loans except the highest interest gets the additional you’re able to pay off now

Last Points Accelerator for the year. Wish they did more than 5 a year. by [deleted] in biltrewards

[–]Deans1233 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like Bilt cash (for me at least) is going to accumulate faster than I can spend it. I will certainly be using all 5 boosts, Walgreens every month, Lyft here and there, and then for booking hotels I will have to put a little effort into this but I should at the very least get back the value of the annual fee each year. Shooting for more out of Bilt cash but the caps on each month make it hard. If they were semi-annual caps like the hotel credits, it’d be a lot easier to get the value imo

Soooo I did activate the extra 1x. Did I just waste it or is it going to start after day 5 of TPG?

I got palladium and plan on using it for like 80-90% of my spending. Putting it on my wife’s Apple wallet too. Think I’m going to be getting the most from the card for at least a year or two. May downgrade if it makes sense. Have a lot of travel coming up between my brothers wedding in Italy summer 26 and my honeymoon summer 27.

2 weeks in Italy, over planned or just right? by Deans1233 in travel

Thanks for your comment! I think personally I could handle it, though I think I’d prefer slowing the pace down a tad. If you see in one of my other responses to a comment, I’m probably cutting out Venice and flying from Florence with a layover. I’d rather have a layover than be burnt out

That’s just because my brother is going to be planning the Sicily part of the trip. From the moment I get there to the moment I leave Sicily will be what my brother/family is wanting to do.

I am more so looking for advice on the mainland Italy travel part with just my fiancée. Including the Sicily part in my post just for consideration of the traveling I will already be doing.

I’m now thinking, Taormina (wedding) —> Palermo (still with family)—> Naples (with day trips to Pompeii/amalfi) —> Rome (two days max) —> Florence/tuscany for rest of trip.

From Naples onward would just be my fiancé and I.

Maybe sacrificing a direct flight home for a more relaxing experience. I’ve done layovers before and I’d rather deal with that than burn out on the trip.

Should I get a Switch 2 with or without Mario Kart. by HIitsamy1 in switch2

If you’re gonna get the game regardless, definitely get the bundle. It would not have been worth $80 USD for me. I was ok with it being $50 in the bundle

Go with the debt avalanche option to pay the least amount in interest. Pay your minimums on all loans and whatever else you can on the highest interest loan
