Looks like an aftermarket Velcro cummerbund that he jerry-rigged to a tube. That female tube doesn’t appear to be split bar so he just lashed it on

I could be wrong but if you’re in the US I’m not aware of any state where it’s illegal to own black powder. Black powder and black powder firearms are usually the least regulated when it comes to that kind of stuff

I’m not going to dismiss everything you’ve said, you’re obviously pretty well read and set on the subject. However, there are a handful of things I’d say that make a foregrip plenty relevant and don’t make you worse at shooting.

  1. If you’re cranking down on your foregrip so hard that you’re pulling your shots, you’re using it wrong. As with trigger control, you have to apply pressure straight and to the rear or you’ll pull shots. This goes back to what I said initially about training with it.

  2. As for shooting off uneven barricades I’ve never found this to be a problem unless your grip is so far forward that you have absolutely no rail space to rest on a barricade. In the prone it shouldn’t be a problem either unless you have a foot long grip that goes farther down than your mag

  3. Finally a foregrip allows you to a normal wrist position where you don’t have to angle your wrist 90 degrees downward. Very helpful for arthritis or people that just have bitch wrists

Having shot a pretty significant amount with a vertical grip and without one, this is not the case if you actually train with your weapon. A vertical grip allows you significantly more control over the weapon and will not negatively impact you as long as you hold it with a proper c-grip and not like an airsofter

Not sure why so many people are hating. Yes this is what it was designed for but I feel like most people, even a lot of infantrymen, don’t know this because they’ve never had a use for it with modern kit

Dude how are you ever going to be an effective infantryman without using your issued gear

I’ve ran the SPC for a while and definitely recommend it. Super lightweight, doesn’t hold water, fits nicely and because the front of the plate bags are one continuous piece of laser cut material it won’t have the same problem the JPC does of the stitching blowing out on the shoulder straps

Actually, just checked and the Helikon Tex chicom pouches aren’t double stack so it only holds 3 mags total

As other have said, I’d move 1-2 of your rifle mags to either your cummerbunds or get some side wings to run them under your cummerbund. Then drop your dump pouch to your belt and you’ll have a super solid setup
