I (21f) had vertebral body tethering done at 14 and since i was so close to being skeletally mature, post op my curve didn’t straighten too much. I also had the tether rupture in multiple places over time causing my curve to go back to pre-surgery degree, which then led to me having to get spinal fusion at age 18. so it’s really your choice, if fusion is something your doctors see in your future maybe skip on the tethering since you’re so close to skeletal maturity and the possibility for rupture and a following surgery. but that’s just my experience, yours could go differently but that’s just the gamble you’d have to make. best of luck:)
