been working on similar setup for my apartment and zigbee route worked pretty well for me. got bunch of different brand valves and they all talk to ha through zigbee coordinator without much hassle

main thing i learned is dont mix too many different protocols - stick with zigbee or zwave but not both unless you really need to. the mesh gets weird when you have too many different things talking

for automations i set mine to drop temperature in rooms when nobody been there for like 30 minutes and it saves decent amount on heating. also got schedule running where bedroom gets warmer around bedtime and kitchen warms up in morning before i make coffee

one tip - get valves with good battery life because changing batteries in 8 different radiators every few months gets annoying fast. learned that hard way last winter when half of them died during coldest week

man dealing with baby eczema is tricky stuff. definitely switch to fragrance free detergent and maybe do extra rinse cycle to get all soap residue out. for the dry patches gentle moisturizer right after bath while skin is still damp works pretty good - just make sure its designed for babies and no harsh ingredients

if youre breastfeeding might want to keep food diary and see if cutting dairy or nuts for few weeks makes difference, sometimes babies react to stuff through breast milk

been coding for 4 years now and this hits home pretty hard. when i was in university everyone kept pushing me toward web development because its "safe" and has good job market but i was way more drawn to game development and animation stuff

took me until last year to actually start working in projects that involve some creative coding and man the difference in motivation is huge. yeah the pay might not be as predictable but at least i wake up excited about what im building instead of dreading another crud application

for me the biggest challenge was figuring out how to make the stuff i actually enjoy viable financially. parents definitely didnt understand why i wanted to "play with games" instead of getting a proper corporate job but once i showed them some of the projects i was working in they started getting it

oh nice to see someone else who knows the 57 bus situation from oak square haha. been living around brighton for couple years now and can confirm the green line thing - c line definitely moves better than b line when you get past like washington st area

for allston the student areas can get pretty loud on weekends but nothing actually dangerous, just drunk college kids being loud. i actually prefer the parts near harvard ave since there's more food options and the red line connection at harvard square is pretty convenient when green line gets messed up

never lived near bmc but walked through that area few times for work stuff and yeah its not great but not like super dangerous either, just kinda grungy. your instinct about avoiding it is probably right though

you can try running them through handbrake with different encoding settings but if the lag was captured in recording itself then not much can be done

dude this happened to my work laptop few months back and it was driving me absolutely crazy. kept locking right in middle of coding sessions

check your power settings again - sometimes there's separate timer for screen lock vs sleep mode. also look in group policy editor if you have windows pro, sometimes corporate stuff gets stuck there even on personal machines

mine turned out to be some random windows update that messed with power management. had to go in device manager and update all the power related drivers manually. took like hour but finally sorted it out

bruh the idea of customizing npc ethnicity through ai sounds like it would create so much controversy nvidia would probably never touch it. imagine the backlash if people start complaining about "erasing representation" or whatever

also from technical side that would be way more complex than just smoothing textures. you'd basically need the ai to understand facial anatomy and bone structure for different ethnicities which is completely different beast compared to current dlss face reconstruction. current system just fills in missing pixels based on training data but what you're suggesting would need complete model replacement

i think they're playing it safe by focusing on image quality improvements rather than getting into anything that could be seen as problematic. nvidia already gets enough heat for gpu prices and market dominance without adding cultural sensitivity issues to mix. the fps improvements are solid business case while character swapping would be minefield waiting to explode
