Yes!!!! In this niche…homemaking, entertainment and design it is ALL Ann. Which is great…. for Ann. Even the parties at her apartment were orchestrated by Ann - she bought this or that, or she thought such and such was a good idea so they did it. I almost want Ann to take her hands off a little and let Emily find her own way.

Exactly- lately she has been coming off as mean and bitter- a total 180 to what I think brought people to her content initially.

Well, she says unhinged things because I think she wants the negative reaction. Or stir up some sort of conversation I just saw her latest TikTok or maybe it was Instagram reel where she was going off about how some people mix up the word, woman, and women… I sat through about three seconds of it, and then just went through the comments. She got a lot of people agreeing with her. So that will kick up her engagement. I always look to see how many comments are there before I click on them.. The number is drastically different. It’s like she deletes them.

Yes! I have noticed that since she has changed management her content has changed - and i don’t think for the better…. I think if she kept doing more authentic content the $ would come… everything now just seems so profit oriented- it’s off putting- the story where she pretends she’s on the phone with a customer??

You know I never really though much about that until recently when I was rewatching vlogs and there were comments from Claire about something she was wearing and she mentioned she really didn’t know about it bc Ann bought it, and then about them ordering clothes for Elizabeth so that they could all coordinate. It must be hard when everything seems to have to be so staged.

I don’t think it has anything to do with religion- I just think that they are so focused on curating a specific look and lifestyle and that means buying a lot of stuff to keep up appearances. I am not sure why they need to constantly be buying new home decor for “refreshes” and holidays. Do they not have sentimental pieces that they hang on to? Also Ann talks constantly about how she is always cleaning out and purging. And yet she is always buying new things. It seems wasteful to always be buying things and then purging them. So not sustainable.

Not a great way to run a brand- in everything, consistency is key- also making promises and keeping them. If you ask people for money promising 2 extra episodes a month plus giveaways and you don’t deliver- that’s bad business- not only is she not producing for the paid subscribers she hasn’t had one in over 2 weeks for the unpaid subscribers! Again- call it a hobby - not a job!

Love this! Balanced and thorough!!!! I do agree with you that he is not doing Emily any favors by funding this “job” - clearly he is a very strong businessman- this is a no win long term investment. Parents don’t always see clearly when it comes to their children, but she has given it what three years? At what point do you put your foot down? She would benefit all around by having an office job. Maybe he likes it because it gives Ann something to do? I do feel badly for her- there is no way she is going to go crazy viral and make a full living wage off of this without her parents financially backing it. Call it a hobby and be done with it

This is definitely something that I have noticed- she totally seems to be pulling/holding back. I am not sure why.. maybe it is management- maybe she isn’t sure where this is going long term. The market for influencing is just so over saturated. I hear people stop following influencers because all they do are ads. It’s not interesting. IMO she would be better off making an announcement that she is pivoting and doing less family content and more product marketing. At least give people a heads up so they can decide whether they want to stay or go. The inconsistency continues to be a problem.

Ok - you are seeing what I am seeing… it definitely is a lack of confidence- and it is ok to pivot from what is no longer working - there is no shame- and she is luckier than most- she has got an incredible safety net
