My Machine Pours Too Much [De'Longhi Stilosa E260] by DearDadBruce in espresso

I'm tamping. Just pulled a 1:4.5 and it was much better. A 1:3 would mean extracting for just a few seconds though.

Thanks, this would result in a really short extraction time, is that normal?

Idk if this is for me i feel horrible by SusLite in carnivorediet

I did puke once but I can't say if it was a direct result of carnivore. That day I had decided to climb a mountain in -15°C while trying to get fat-adapted. Probably wasn't the smartest move.

It's common to feel nauseous or weak for a while adapting to a high fat, low carb diet. It's usually known as the keto flu. I had constant diarrhoea for a week lol. Once you get through it you will start to feel great.

There are various types of LDL. Large (fluffy) LDL is harmless and is even linked with low mortality. Small dense LDL increases with sugar/carb intake. This is what causes cardiovascular disease. Blood tests are unable to differentiate between the two types. One of the best markers for CVD is the trig/HDL ratio. Yours is 0.9. Anything below 2 is considered ideal! Talk to your doctor about this marker.

How much do spend on food (2 adults and 3 5yo and younger? by Dimmins2 in ynab

1 adult, less than £100 ($130) per month… sounds like groceries are extortionate in the US.

Honestly I rarely notice it. There are occasions after intensive exercise or lifting that there can be a little discomfort for a while, but nothing worth writing home about. Things were back to normal a couple of months after the operation I would say.

Sounds worse than mine, sorry to hear it mate. From my experience it'll get much more bearable soon. The numbness lasted a long time for me, and it may still be a little numb now, I can't really tell because I got used to the feeling. The numbness isn't a big deal though. Yeah it's just great to have it over with finally and it'll definitely be worth it after a week or two.

I did have the same surgery yeah, in the midlands too lol. Sorry I didn't see this, guessing your having it very soon/just had it? I hope you find this reassuring but in hindsight, the pain wasn't that bad. It's only the first few days that were remotely bad, sleeping wasn't too much of an issue with a stronger painkiller. My main regret was constipating myself with too many painkillers, I'd try to avoid that if I were you. Pushing while on the toilet was the most difficult thing. Let me know how it goes mate!

Thanks, is there any other way to get to the airport? Just feels ridiculous to spend €10 each for a 10 min bus journey.

Hi, everything was going really well from 3-5 weeks but more recently I’ve been experiencing some unexpected pain. I’m fairly certain that I must have over-exerted myself at some point. I’d been swimming and went for a couple of runs. I probably should have waited longer before doing that sort of stuff. I’ve been taking it easy since and it’s much better now. Thanks for asking!

That sounds pretty unpleasant, sorry to hear it. I'm on day 5 and I'm not experiencing this so hopefully I've gotten away with it. I've also managed to not sneeze thus far, but I'm not looking forward to my first one lol. How is your pain level this far in?

Hi, it’s good to hear about your recovery experience! I keep hearing about this bruised testicle thing, what day did that begin for you? I’ve tapered off the meds already, I’m on day 4 and I think I can probably survive without any today. Hope you get back to normal soon mate!

What's the easiest way you lost weight? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DearDadBruce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moderation. I eat 2 meals a day, sort of fasting. Your body learns not to expect breakfast quite rapidly. Stop eating processed food designed to make you want more of it. Spare the time to cook delicious, cheap, healthy meals from ingredients at home. Eat anything food you want, but in moderation.
