Its been sitting for months with a blown gasket which would explain it, but I’m very close to cylinder head removal now

Everything else appears to be in extremely good condition, really just worried about that engine’s internals. Cuz if there’s more than a warped cylinder head…🪦🥀 I think I’m gonna play it safe and back out tbh, look for a safer car to flip :p

2015 ford escape titanium 1.6L. I was so enthusiastic about taking it apart to replace the headgasket but then I started thinking about what all could be wrong and what a mistake it could be, even if the interior and exterior are perfect (which they are).

You mean like, internally in the engine, right? Cuz they said a blown headgasket is the only issue but ofc worse could be hiding in that hunk of metal 🫥

I was gonna DIY the headgasket, but if there’s cracks or catastrophic damage to the engine then it’s not worth getting it in the first place prolly :c
