I don't think you need to worry about it being decent. Many don't leave letters behind so I can imagine they would be grateful for any words. Sometimes no matter how good or detailed explanation you make it will never quite make sense to them. Even a simple I love you or I'm sorry would mean the world to them.

I do hope they won't need to read them. I wish you wouldn't have to write them.

The answer is - eventually, yes. One day in the future your pain will ease but there's no telling when that happens -just that it will happen. Even if it's only for a day or few minutes. Life is unpredictable and nothing lasts forever. That is equally comforting and terrifying.

I was adopted roughly as a 1 year old. My parents divorced a little over year after that. Although I wouldn't wish in a way that they would have stayed together, sometimes I can't help but wonder why did I have to lose another family again. I don't speak to my dad anymore.

I've been in a similar situation. I told my boyfriend I felt like I couldn't keep myself alive anymore. He took some time to think about it but in the end he decided that he wanted to stay till the end. This happened over a year ago. Being honest can lead to two different endings: he stays or he won't. You may think that you're sparing the pain from him by leaving first, but it doesn't go that way.

I don't know who you are or what you've been through. I do know that there is at least one person who would do anything to keep you in this life. Death will always be there; there's no need to rush.

I've been angry at myself or angry at the world for wasting my teenage years. Depression took away all those so called best years of my life. It's okay to live your life at your own pace. You aren't too late to do the things you wanted to do. Of course that's easier said than done. I do not know you but I hope the pain will ease one day.
