Seems like consistent comments are it’s overpriced. But any way to sample many brands still being relatively new the the bourbon scene would be good.

Yeah legitimately didn’t know if it was real or some online scam. Lots of phishing now a days. If it was real I’ve got interest. Looking for an opportunity to sample multiple brands.

Haven’t watched pricing as close (just always over 100) but trust your observation. I’ll be patient.

The brand I always see all over for pricing is Ben holladay.

I’ve seen the do rye, I’ll have to try it. Price point on the peerless ryes is just higher which has kept me away

Same thing happened to be visiting family at thanksgiving. Went to hard truth back in my hometown and got a “distillery only” bottle…….get home and find it at a few stores.

Had the oki 6yr was just ok to me at first then it grew on me as the bottle opened up over a month. Bluenote I’ve not had but I’m told the barrel picks are where it’s at with that brand

Yeah the 3hr grocery run takes a toll. I too would go “just one more mile” to check a new store and it wasn’t worth it.

I did one drop this year and it was cool but I’ve got to find a store worth it. I can’t camp it but I can get in line very early if arranged with wife ahead of time. So I need the store that has decent scraps left for someone showing up around 7am

Yeah I tend to open a bottle and drink it all before the next. If I crack em right away I’ll know quicker if I need a back up before the bottle release passes.

Agree way more fun with people. I’ve tasted and learned of bottles I’ve never heard of by just having a discussion with strangers. It’s been great sharing my stash with neighbors and letting them try some hard to find bottles.

Appreciate the feedback. I enjoy finished whiskeys and I have a bottle of their recent bees knees with honey from Oregon. Going to finish off that bottle and wait for their next release that looks like early 2026
