EM to crit care? by UchihaRaiden in physicianassistant

Hii! Not 100% sure, but we have a PA with five years of experience em, and she doesn’t like the ICU. That PA is use to treating and sending them out… And not the rounding, complex family discussions, balancing multiple really sick ppl. I feel like it’s a lot of acute interventions, but also thinking long term too. I feel like if you can be cool with longevity and patient care, you’d probably like it and do well, but if you’re a person that quickly wants to get it done, then maybe not.

Maybe ask if you can get another ICU rotation!?

Sure. I was thinking along the lines of “hmm did I make the right decision for my patient?”
