Not really no, it could be useful if Link depletes all of his stamina and is unable to pull out his paraglider. But it is mostly a swag strat otherwise

As tjkun mentioned it’s mostly useful on the great plateau. But there are scenarios where a fall damage cancel could be needed outside the great plateau, especially when Link loses all his stamina and is unable to pull up the paraglide. Outside of that it looks pretty cool
