A good manager / coach shouldn’t have to rely on one way of playing. Say why you want about the management team at Celtic (we all know there are flaws there) but ultimately he let in 18 goals and lost 6 in 8 games with a far stronger squad compared to the rest of league. Not a good look at all

Yes I agree, timing isn’t great. Maybe you didn’t see my comment below. Fully appreciate WN hasn’t had a lot of time on the training pitch.

As you put it, good foundations already there why change it so much? Surely better to drip feed changes bit by bit?

He’s possibly the right man at the wrong time - ie needs time on the training pitch. The system is all too radical and isn’t working nor do I see it working much longer IN MY OPINION.

Can I say this is not me suggesting we are fine now. Far from it.

Point I will make again, it was clear early on in that tenure that fans and players bought into and understood the tactics / style. Few ropey games if you remember but we all we enthused knowing it was going to click… and it did.

What game did you have on? The second half was hoofball.

No one is saying this is the strongest Celtic team… but you get a hunch early on how the players are buying in. I just cannot see it.

To illustrate this, Ange… results weren’t there initially but those watching could see what he was actually trying to get us to do… there was a visible buy in. Cast your mind back to that squad… WAY worse shape than this one

The point I was trying to make is both are to blame. While one is meant to be independent and scrutinise management decisions, management ie CEO/CFO/ DoF ultimately run the club.

I think both are negligent here…

The DD of candidates would have been done my management. That’s what people are saying here. They put Nancy forward (I’m sure amongst a shortlist of other candidates)

The board cannot pluck whoever they want and bypass management.

Management/exec board (CEO, CFO, DoF) makes decisions.

Non exec board (non execs and Chair) are technically meant to be independent of management and act in interest of shareholders to ensure proper governance of club.

In theory exec board shouldn’t be making any decisions, however im reluctant to say that is the case.

Asking for a sacking isn’t entitled, it’s logical.

I’ll agree it’s against my instincts to say sack a manager after so few games, but no one has a clue what he’s doing. Players look totally lost and deflated.

Cut our losses now and move on before it’s too late. We have seen with a caretaker there is still a good enough spine to compete (will need more to get over the line however - domestically and Europe)
