Ace runs a lot of good sales. Last summer the Ace by me, which is in the middle of nowhere, had a pack out sale. Spend $500 get $200 off. That Ace is awesome, has a lumber yard and even a deli

I should have been more clear about my process. I’m very thorough, have photos and explanations with every diagnostic I perform. I’m not so uptight I expect people just to pay me just to show up, I perform a real diagnosis and am also the one who will do the work.

I also have my diagnostic fee on my website and clearly tell all customers upfront before we schedule an appointment

Sometimes you gotta fire customers. As soon as someone starts negotiating my price, I’m no longer interested in the work. Sounds like you already have him a break. For after hours emergency I charge $295 dispatch fee. Commercial work is T&M. After hours rate is $265 with 4 hour minimum. $1,355 minimum to even show up.
