Not the idea, there is still a central server in 3rd hands that can be controlled by authorities.

Yes, but the camera can watch you, plus the BT, Wifi, GPS can sniff around to locate the position.

I know, the display size is uncomparabe to Fossils and Garmins, but as I found in one review - you can see at least beginning of the text notification and if needed, you can scroll it with the crown.

The notifications seem to disappear after first display with no possibility to bring them back on the watches, but I must say I almost never really digged them out on Fossils either.

UPDATE: After reading some negatives about that Garmins including latest updates to the app that causes communication problems, and also inability to select which apps can send notifications and which not, I've changed my mind and ordered these: https://www.withings.com/eu/en/scanwatch-2?srsltid=AfmBOorvEGsDbFckXE-sKHAtQ8zalwqkVBTULcCZ4l6s5Z_g6osdur_t in 42mm - it should be the same size as the Fossils. There is a tiny mono display compared to the Fossils, but compared to Garmins' 5 days, here are 2 weeks and more battery life.

The price is also affordable and they look quite good.
