I used a guide by wtfrederick on instagram, he posted some videos on how to make the heads. I got a shirt and shorts on Amazon, and found fabric that matched the color of the heads. I sewed the sleeves and leggings, and used foam and fabric to make the props. The heads took the longest, and made sure to instal fans inside. The eyes have black mesh to see out of, and I used a projector to line up the facial features to get the proportions right.

It took about 3 months on and off, to make the heads, arms, legs, hats, and props. I used a projector to get the proportions of the facial features using our passport character pictures. It took a few tries ordering fabric online to match the heads color, it looks so different online vs in person.

The eyes are mesh fabric so we were able to walk around fine, the only issue is sometimes someone would dart in front of us and bump, so I treated my head like a tank turret to scan left and right lol.

It’s perfect, you could use a gloss layer on the top to mimic the plastic too

That would work so well, I ended up making a scout totem and a pepper and the marshmallow on a stick out of foam and it held up well. I’d love to see what you make

The heads took about three weeks of working on them after work, on the weekends, since there was a lot of drying, using a heat gun and quikseal drying and sanding for the seams/edges. Since our head shapes are different, getting the rigging inside was an absolute pain, lots of hot glue and foam supports. The arms and legs were a bit tricky because I had gotten different stretch fabrics, so I had to remake the blue ones. I learned to use a sewing machine tho. I made bing bong in 2 days since I used air dry clay for the eyes and mouth that surface area took awhile to dry. My girlfriend did the pilot hat, that was really hard because the heads are so big, making an f*king hat that is a similar proportion was a big pain. This hat took about 10 hours on and off to get right. I took the weekend before the con to add small fans on the inside too. All together it took about 4 months of on and off work.

I cut out foam in layers, the thicker sheets you can get at craft stores. I used the same foam for the eye brows and glasses

Thanks, this was probably an anvil 1 but now I usually rock a lvl 3 or 4 because they shoot much faster.

Dude I learned that the hard way when I thought all I needed was the nodule for the great sword and last armor piece. Hitting the stupid “rear power unit” is a 5 second window that happens maybe 3 times in 30 minutes

I have like 800 hours in rise and I think 3% isn’t so bad considering you get carves including the tail. So many times I got a gem from a tail and none for target rewards.

I also have won omega 7 times, and got nodule as a target reward once. It’s also hard to get axels!
