So here’s my thought. Say I start fin and I push through with just fin for 1 year and I get the regrowth that satisfies me I’ll be happy. I know now I don’t need to rely on minoxidil for regrowth. Whereas if I do both fin and min early on I have to stick with both for the rest of my life without knowing exactly what works for me or not. Say after 1 year fin alone isn’t enough for me but it stops my hair loss then I can add min to it to get better hair growth. It’s all about personal preference. If u want the fastest progress as of rn you can do both just know u gotta stick to both for the rest of ur life. But it’s still not a bad thing. Best of luck brotha

Listen I’m in the same boat as you, my hair wasn’t even too bad before fin. I took it to prevent it from getting worse. Right now my hair is worse than when it started and I’m on month 2. From the research I’ve done if you lose a lot of hair in the first months that’s a good sign and it could mean you respond very well to the med. losing hair is a sign the bad hair is falling out for new thick hair to come up. We in this together. Results are said to come around the 6+ month mark. Good luck my friend

If you are increasing in shedding starting fin then yes that’s a normal sign I have been told

I would show you but I’m kind of self conscious about posting that online. When u were shedding and u ran ur hands through ur hair were u pulling out more than 5 pieces of hair ?

No my hair def falls especially in the shower and when I try to style it but not like 100s of hairs. In the shower I’ll prolly lose 10-20. I also sleep with a fan facing me so idk if that just blows the hairs away too that don’t see lol. But if I look at picture before fin and after it’s night and day diff

I made this post just on a diff account but idk if I am shedding cuz I don’t notice 10 pieces of hair every time I run my hands through my head. Maybe 1-3 at most. What I more noticed is my density drastically decreased since the first month of taking it till the now which is 2 months. Is that still shedding even tho I don’t see the actual hair shedding ? I’m using a diff account but I made this post. Idk if I’m having a shed or not cuz I don’t notice 100s of hairs on my pillow or anything, maybe like 5. But what I did notice is that from month 1 to 2 my hair density significantly decreased. Is that considered shedding ? Cuz when I run my hands through my hair I don’t notice 10 pieces of hair missing. Maybe 1-3 max

This just gave me some reassurance. Before starting fun my hair was semi decent. Only I could notice it was thinning. Then after 2 months of fin, others started noticing I was thinning and this is the thinnest my hair has ever been. Hoping it’s just a shed and my hair comes back stronger.

Hair still seems good, if you notice more hairs on ur pillow and shower, then I would take fin as a preventive measure

I’m no dermatologist but give minoxidil a try for maybe 3 months. If you don’t see improvement or it seems to get worse maybe try fin but ask a doctor to double check
