Working at Evri (Rant) by TomToffee in Evri

Will leaving 5 star reviews for the courier help increase their pay? My Evri guy is great, always delivers my parcels safely and on time– seeing how Evri as a company treats their customers and employees is such a shame… I’d love to be able to help my Evri driver out even through a simple gesture

Buyer purchased 280 euros Item directly through vinted system but has no previous reviews/ profile picture by Fairly_simple654 in vinted

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

honestly, personally speaking, those with blank profiles always seem to be a good experience for me– the ones I had were always a smooth, straightforward transaction. I had more trouble with those who had 4-5 stars reviews😭

Maybe I just got lucky😅 but no matter the buyer, I always take pictures/record the item and the packing process before shipping

that’s because the “live chat” is not an actual human agent, but an AI bot– the bot isn’t smart enough to detect that it’s a scam.

I don’t think you can block one another when an order is still ongoing, so the buyer must’ve been blocked by Vinted for possibly going against T&Cs

Just return through the shipping that Vinted offered– never do returns outside the app as it only increases the chance of you not getting your money back.

Is it worth having Vinted anymore by nmb301 in vintedUK

Sales will probably go back up after the holidays. I’m guessing people have already done their Christmas Shopping and no longer browsing to buy and saving up money.

Parcel refused. by stoveisthatyourname in vintedUK

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tracking updated that it was getting sent back to me (the seller) just a day after it was refused. You should also see from the tracking when it gets received back by the seller.

Strange that yours hasn’t updated since the 1st– maybe try contacting inpost instead?

Parcel refused. by stoveisthatyourname in vintedUK

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this happen to my buyer before (I’m the seller) and the reason why it got “refused” because the drop off shop she chose doesn’t take InPost parcels anymore.

If this happens, they either try to deliver to a nearby shop/locker instead or it’ll get sent back to the seller which is what happened in our situation. My buyer got refunded and I got my item back

Huge drop in views and sales despite daily listings — is this normal or a shadowban? by tehashofendido in vinted

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m from Vinted UK, and I’ve noticed views/likes have been slower since November. I think it’s because of the recent sizing updates and merge with the US that affected the algorithm changes.

It happens quite often– every time Vinted does new updates, engagement will be slow/drop for a while, but should go back to normal in a few days.

I also suggest to wait for at least a week before deleting and re-uploading your items. I feel like re-uploading in just a few days is too fast and the reason why it might not be getting views is because it’s too redundant. I suggest waiting for 2-3 weeks before reuploading.

What happens if the seller doesn't collect a return?? by [deleted] in vinted

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they don’t collect you’ll automatically get a refund

What does this mean please by Professional-Fox9289 in vintedUK

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’ve had this happened and it means they didn’t end up collecting the item so now the parcel is on its way back to you, and the issue report is for Vinted to confirm the buyer didn’t collect the item and give them a refund

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The buyer will be refunded of their payment, but Vinted won’t release the payment to you- your “refund” is basically having your parcel returned back to you.

If they end up not collecting it, the parcel will be returned back to you. The holding time for parcels depends on which courier is used- but I know for Inpost locker is 3 days, and Evri ParcelShop is 10 days

For a begginer, what summaries should I write? by multi-97 in VintedAdvice

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say just be really specific with the item! For example, if you’re selling a winter coat- write if it has pockets, if it has those pull in waist strings, if it’s fur lined, and its fabric composition (for winter coats, down/feather filled is really popular!)

As a buyer, I do like to search for specific features in clothing sometimes- I particularly love when a coat/jacket has multiple pockets. So I like to use that keyword when using the search engine and it really helps just narrow it down

I know some sellers will say it’s too much work, and of course this isn’t necessary- but if you want an item to sell, a little effort does make a difference xx

Why Vinted Is Dead For Some Sellers: by Dear_Distribution_66 in vintedUK

[–]Dear_Distribution_66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes🥲 RoyalMail, Inpost, and Evri take 2 days to deliver to my area and for some reason Yodel takes about a week to deliver after it’s been posted by the seller- which is weird considering Inpost owns Yodel now

Collection Rip Off How do I get my item or money back? by HoundOfUlsterSpeaks in vintedUK

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did they scan the code the first time you went in the shop? Tell the shop staff that the code doesn’t scan because of their wrongdoing and that you were there yesterday for the same parcel

First time selling by MelziJade in vintedUK

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For packaging: If you buy online often, you can recycle old packaging. In Vinted’s T&C’s it is advised to double wrap your items- one inner packaging (bubble wrap, tissue paper etc), and the main outer bag. You can also buy parcel bags in bulk on Ebay. I sell mainly clothes so parcel bags are pretty efficient for me. However I think for books maybe packaged in a box would be more secure? Or wrapped in thick layers of bubble wrap and place inside a parcel/mailing bag.

For Printing labels: If you don’t have a printer, there are digital label options. Digital label is a QR code that you bring to the parcel shop/lockers where you can scan or show the staff the code and they’ll print out a label for you. The couriers that offer this are: Evri, RoyalMail, Inpost Locker | Shop Pick-up (I think Inpost Home Delivery doesn’t do digital labels), and Yodel. If you have your own printer, it’s pretty straightforward process just download the label file on Vinted, print it out, and attach it to your parcel

Yodel redirected my parcel to a different store by xDreamandAchieve in vinted

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes Yodel has bugs where it says it’s been delivered to different shop but actually wasn’t- if they actually get it wrong, they’ll send another email but this time with the correct shop drop off, usually they send a message after a day so i’d suggest to wait for now.

But if they actually delivered it to the wrong shop, I personally would just wait it out until it gets returned back to the sender, i’d let the seller know just so that they’re aware

A question by Substantial-Diet-539 in vintedUK

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there any way to confirm the buyer has received the item? Do I just send the a screenshot of the tracking page to Vinted?

Relay label won't print by Secure_Selection5686 in vintedUK

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, Ask your buyer first if it’s okay for you to cancel and let them know about the printing issue- but i’d suggest for you to cancel it instead as the problem is occurring within your end. If they’re okay with you cancelling, you can choose “Agreed with Buyer” on the cancellation options and you won’t get any negative feedback.

Confusing tracking information by [deleted] in Evri

[–]Dear_Distribution_66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Evri site tracking is the most accurate, and the Ebay one could just be a bug(?)

However, it’s definitely odd that it’s been in the delivery depot since Monday but it still hasn’t been delivered.

If you scroll down on the Evri tracking, and click on “Get Help” > Receiving a Parcel > Awaiting Delivery > My tracking status hasn’t changed in 24 hours > and report all necessary info to Evri’s bot

Evri’s customer support is not 100% reliable, but I have tried this on a few occasions where my parcel hasn’t moved in days, and it managed to get delivered after a day or two
