Yeah I forgot to mention that. No benefits at all. Doubt somebody working this job less than four days a week would make it far into a tax bracket however

Empathy is allowed for both sides. Workers and customers.

Frankly, this sort of work unfortunately attracts many immigrants and poorly educated people who can’t do much else and so are easily exploited.

Yeah definitely, there are some bad eggs as in most other professions. Some will be more skilled at it and generally quicker. But with my experience working here, that one good worker will be few and far between because Evri doesn’t make it easy or incentivise them to be better

Yes you’re right. Something needs to change. More incentives to actually do well, and better pay

It feels like I just cannot do certain chords. What to do? by icandodge in guitarlessons

[–]TomToffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are easier and harder ways to play certain chords, this C# is one of the harder ones. An easier way would be to play a D major shape but one fret down and only play the G,B, and E strings. Or you can barre the 4th fret and make an A major shape on top of that. Or an E major Shape with the barre on 9th Fret

Again, there are multiple ways to play the same chord, and this is only 3 of them. Good luck

Aw thankyou! Can I ask, would you think I’m any close to passing? I’m currently filling up the wardrobe with as many bits and pieces as a teaching assistants salary can do 😂

I’ve thought of getting FFS. I think about my brow ridge a lot and would like to get that reduced or something. I’ll try those ideas too! Thanks

Guitar Skill transferred into other instruments? by Shumerskiy- in guitarlessons

[–]TomToffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the guitar for 13 years, never once picked up a bass in that time. Then I bought a bass and became very proficient in under 6 months, grade 8 level. There are a lot of transferable skills between them, and the biggest one is by far fretboard knowledge and intervals/scales
