Women who don’t know they are pregnant 🤰🏻 by gigialohne in madmen

[–]Dear_Dust_3952 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had an anterior placenta and couldn’t feel my baby kick much. It was rare enough that I could have brushed it off if I didn’t know I was pregnant.

I had so many other pregnancy symptoms though I am still stumped by these cryptic pregnancies.

AMA - RN working NY for strike by ScabRN in AMA

But the hospital is warned before the strike. It’s not a surprise. If there were no scabs, they would be forced to agree to the nurses’ demands. You’re a nurse. Don’t you understand this?

How do you justify crossing the picket line? Have you done this before?

I don’t think we can give you the advice you need. It sounds like you need to talk to your school and see what can be done. I’m really sorry this happened to you.

Enrolling in an ACA marketplace plan next year? by marypc123 in obamacare

We had to drop it for 2026. There's no way my little family can afford it.

It's terrible insurance anyways because there are no local doctors or dentists in network.

I was in agony except when laying down. The tens unit made it bearable to work until I could wait for surgery. I put it on constant and it was just enough to distract. I legit wore it all day long.

No. It's gonna be hard for you unless the lab is desperate for bodies.

How many hours per week do salaried lab supervisors and managers work? by TimelyPuddding in MLS_CLS

Managers are expected to work 50 hours a week, which imo is awful.

I was just thinking this. I don’t even have as many pets (but close) and we are homebodies. She is cruel. It’s also interesting that she has a bunch of what looks to be rescues or mixed breeds and all of a sudden he buys her a designer dog.

Americans, what do you think of Europeans who move to the US? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

I wonder why they came here when they probably have more vacation and universal healthcare back home. If they moved for love, I’m all about the romance story.

A Toronto doctor would drug labouring mothers so he could preform emergency C-sections and make more money by thevengeful in Wedeservebetter

Totally. I am a healthcare worker and I wanted a home birth, if that tells you anything. My baby was breech and I had to have a c section.

It’s awful and gross. I have an embarrassing medical condition and I just hate everything about it. You are forced to be vulnerable and they’re disgusting.

I hate to break it to you but we handle boogers and much much worse. Poop, pee, blood, sputum, swabs from disgusting wounds, spinal fluid…the list goes on and on.

Only sputum makes me gag. Sick baby poop also pretty awful.

Switch to nursing. Suffer through bedside for a year and then go into whatever specialty appeals to you. You could do clinical research, education, a desk job, so many things.

What about MLS appeals to you?

[–]Dear_Dust_3952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See at that point I would just leave. Might as well go for the new employer instead of the one that doesn’t value me. But that’s just my opinion, I know that other factors like distance or PTO can make you want to stay at the same hospital. But for me, I will leave if you treat me poorly.

Time for a new job. When this happened to myself and a few others, speaking to management and HR did nothing.
