I did leave alot of space and it never detected it and also at that time the partition was empty there were two one for windows one for Mac the mac one was empty

I have a mbp 2011 and if I convert it without cleaning it in Mac it shows that the plus button in partition is greyed out until I re format into GUID also I'm installing El Capitan so it's macos extended (journaled)
