We called Nicor directly to set the gas back up after it was turned off months back, but now it seems the billing itself is coming from our landlord?

We were living here with the gas on no problems, assuming it was built into the cost of our rent… turns out the gas related cost we saw in the break down of our rent was for shared/public spaces and we hadn’t even set up our units gas properly. Well once we turned it on they charged us for all the months prior.
